  1. i am glad he asked this, i beig a newbie at 40 always heard soemthing like fish dont bite in the rain. Well since i have been turned into a bass junkie this summer at this local pond, i am really glad this questioned was raised. However 2 weekends ago i went out around 11am to fish in light rain, well after 30 mins of using a spinnerbait for the first time there i caught my biggest one to date, 4-5 lb'er, my biggest thrill to date. Only been back a couple of times and havent had the same luck. usually i throw a brownish senko which was killing them. i have had success wiht topwater frogs at 3pm, crawfish plastices anytime and senkos anytime. cant really figure the pattern yet, i just go and try for the best. this morning caught my first catfish there this summer of a senko. trying to sneak back tonightm gota beg the kids to go. thanks for the pond tips !!
  2. hey beale, i joined the fishing forum...you out there? kb
  3. thanks guys, i have really enjoyed this board the last week since i joined. now i cant tell how many acres somehting is, so i will say its narrow- you can cast across pond, at both ends it opens so it looks like a dog bone. maybe its 100-150 yards long. but there are 5 lb'ers in there says my neioghboor the real fishing guy ( me, i am just a newbie right now) in fact i was embarrased if he ever sees my lures stuck in the think lilly pads due to poor casting. but i havent lost one in a couple of weeks. so i am gettign better. also i learned that you dont knock the tall cat-tails down to have s pot to stand. the DEC was there when my neighboor was fishing and said soemthing to him, in whihc he relayed it to me, and i felt bad. was ther eon mon, and will hit it ealry sat. then school starts for this PE teacher and with coachiong a HS sport my fall is shot. thanks, again ,kb
