  1. Sounds like your on the right track to me. If the water temps are still in the mid 40's I'd stick to the jig or tube fished slow.
  2. Try to figure out his spots? How about putting in the effort to find spots for himself, and just because you fish the same spots doesn't mean you will catch fish. Put the jerkbaits away for now and get yourself some mister twister weighted keeper hooks in 1/8oz and 3/16oz. Get some erie darters, grubs, creature baits, craws, or whatever your favorite soft plastic is. The weighted keeper hooks are very snag resistant, and are perfect for shallow snaggy rivers like the fox. Cover a lot of water and hit every spot that looks good. Look for current seams and slack water areas. Toss your bait upstream into the current and work it back through the seam into the slack water. Just keep at it and I guarantee you will start catching some smallies.
  3. Pink fluke is one of the best pre spawn baits I've ever used.
  4. I'll second the lews tournament pro, or the curado or citica. If you decide on the curado i or citica i get whichever you can find cheaper, they are nearly identical reels.
  5. Original stren for mono Mccoy mean green for copolymer
  6. A senko or a small hair jig are good options to fish under a bobber.
  7. Not necessarily. I have 6 citica E's that I bought used and upgraded the bearings, drag, and handle plus added a bearing under the main shaft for less than the cost of a chronarch e or curado e.
  8. Mccoy mean green is the best non braid option for spinning reels in my opinion.
  9. Unless it's an e series citica, then it could very easily be made into a e series chronarch.
  10. This is the best post I've ever read regarding reels. This is also the reason I will never be loyal to a reel manufacturer, because none of them make reels that are built to last if you use them regularly . The only reels that will still be around after I'm gone are my old Mitchells, abu's, and my daiwa ss1300's.
  11. The only reels I'm loyal to are my daiwa ss 1300's. The only reels that have never let me down.
