Carrot Stix 100% Awesome rod in my opinion. But it depends on if you like the split grip or not. If you dont then the Avid is great

10-15lb berkely big game mono because with crankbaits Im always trying to get better hookups and mono is less sensitive therefore it gives the fish a split second longer to eat it before I feel it. Also mono has more stretch which gives a little less chance of pulling out the hooks

yea it was the same way here but its all about melted away now. Yesterday we actually found some snowdrifts that were 2-3 feet deep
