Wow Im finally there. What can I say, I've been a member here for about a year and a half and I cant even count the number of ways this site has helped me become a better fisherman. I like to think I may have given a little bit of helpful info too. I just want to say thanks Glenn and all of the Mods for helping this be the best bass fishing site on the internet. Thanks guys

Best Way?
yea I'm probably not the person to ask but that seems like kinda making a big leap really quick. I believe the best thing to do would be to join a local club. Not only are the tournaments fun but there should be great camaraderie too

fairly tough Pin Oak trip
Well me and dad headed out to Pin Oak today and did alright. He whacked me though. He beat me 6 or 7 to 1 and the one fish I did catch was one of the scrawniest ugliest fish I've ever seen. Well Here is the report. We put in and headed down towards the coves toward the dam. We didn't do much good for about 2 hours and we finally got on sort of a pattern. We started fishing stump flats and the open water of shallow coves (which probably had lots of stumps) Anyway we caught them on bleeding chrome/blue Rat-L-Traps. With the biggest being about 4lbs. my scrawny little one about a 15in one of dad's And biggest of the day about a 3 1/2-4lber

If I'm just out fun-fishing I love to catch gar. Awesome fight for me. I would love to go on a guided alligator gar fishing trips and catch one of those 150-200lbers

Lizard question
NO. A lizard is probably my #1 springtime plastic lure. I have never seen any lizards around the lakes I fish. I believe that salamanders eat bass eggs and that is why bass I think have like a instinctive reaction

I think we are gonna get out on Pin Oak tomorrow so I'll post a report if we do any good. As far as I know fishing has been really good on the points and around all the stumps and brush in the shallow arm across from the state park ramp. Tight lines to anyone heading out tomorrow
