  1. Not too picky when it comes to this topic. But I'm a big fan of Sweet Beavers.
  2. Couldnt agree more. I've had best results with this bait right at dusk with a stop and go retrieve right below the surface.
  3. You may run right into the Wiggle Wart primetime bite. If this happens, hold on. Make sure you bring some craw colored warts, and you should be set.
  4. At the Central Divisional, we had a bass spit up a baby turtle during weigh-in...the dang thing was still alive after all that time the livewell and in the belly of that bass.
  5. You've got a pm sir!!
  6. Hahahaha! Thats great! Thanks for all the comments guys!
  7. I have one but do not use it that often. I honestly don't like the action. Just my opinion, but they're are better swimbaits for the same price. I HAVE caught fish on it tho.
  8. Fish that pond like you would anything else. Don't limit yourself. I have many ponds/small lakes around here that are just like that and we catch them on all sorts of lures. The best ones seem to be Trick Worms, shakey heads, jigs, and Power Worms. But like I said, dont limit yourself. Throw everything at em if you want.
  9. It may not be legal, but I me and a few buddies of mine just sneak on the golf courses. We fish every pond we can. So far, out of just under 30 ponds, only 1 does not have fish.
  10. I've used both painted and unpainted weights and have not seen a noticeable difference in the catch rate. With that said, I like using the painted ones...just a confidence thing.
  11. I remember that, and that is the best answer.
  12. Well guys, I finally caught my personal best today. It's been a while since my old "PB", but thats over with. I went out at about 7 am and actually had only caught 2 or 3 real small ones. I had my Costa's on and looked at the next pontoon, and saw her...just chillin by the pontoon. It looked like a decent size fish, so I tossed my senko right past her and BAM! She hit that thing going 100 miles per hour. I couldn't tell if it was a reaction-strike or a hunger strike, but she wanted it. I got her in the boat and the scale read 7-10. She was just a hair under 23 inches long and the girth was right at 15. It may not look as big as some of those big Florida bass, but these guys are a bit of a challenge to catch in my neck of the woods (unless your fishing farm ponds). Thanks guys! *Quality is bad due to my camera phone and a smudge on the lens.
  13. What would you like to know? I've fished with all of them and all three companies make great rods. But out of the three, and its just my opinion...Kistler makes the best rods.
  14. Thank you very much Burley. No book stores carry it around here, but if anyone would be intrested, I would like to buy a copy off of anyone thats willing to sell it. I can give you top dollar or some lures if youd like. Thanks guys, Craig Conger
  15. I am supposed to be featured in an issue of BASS Times in regards to winning the Jr. Bassmaster Central Divisional down on Greers Ferry in Arkansas. I do not have a subscription to BASS Times, and I'm wondering if that issue has come out yet. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
  16. Another vote for the XF. Altho Ive only used one G-Loomis rod, I can tell you that they are worth every penny.
  17. My best big spinnerbait is the Strike King Midnight Special. They come in either Black, Black/Blue, or Black/Red. All are great, but I have the best success with the Black/Blue.
  18. Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it.
  19. Thanks guys. Very, very helpful information. I appreciate all of it. Is the water on the harris chain like a tea color?
  20. I need help guys. I have a big trip to Florida in October. I need all the info I can get on fishing Florida this time of year. Will the fish be spawning? Im going to the Harris Chain of Lakes. thanks guys
  21. Exactly what Im doing once I get a steady career and enough financial funds to my name. I chose not to the school the had the College Bass team...I didnt think it was a big deal.
  22. Well with 150, I would probably spend a good half of it on Berkley Chigger Craws (black and blue my favorite color), and the other half Senkos and Trick worms. It's very simple, because those are my top producing soft plastic baits. As far as shakey heads go: I really like the Strike King shakey heads with the Strike King 3X worms or a trick worm. NOTE: just realized you dont want Senkos...go buy some more Chigger Craws
  23. Like most, Owner size 1 Mosquito.
  24. Hey everyone! Thanks for all of the good comments. I've been at the lake for another week, so no computer available. Thanks again!
  25. Hey everyone! Well, just a few hours ago I finished the weigh-in for the Junior Bassmaster Central Divisional Championship. I was the last one to weigh in and beat the current leader by over a pound. It was a very, very tough day out there on Greers Ferry, but I did manage to catch 3 keepers that went 6 pounds 10 ounces with a nice 3 pound kicker ;D. Just thought I'd let you all know. Thanks for everything Bass Resouce!!!
