  4. I've been trout fishing at openhiem pond the last few days, doing well getting 3 to 4 browns each time. Perfect frying pan fish
  5. Soon as the weather breaks im at that pond or at my dock which is on the river in a smallmouth hot spot. When it calms down im on the boat searching for them. Smallmouth fishing is by far my favorite. Monster carp, largemouth, smallmouth and sheepheads..... my back yard is one of my favorite spots
  6. Got this one on a spinner while going for steelhead down in whirlpool Couple of strawberry island smallies I nabbed in a tournament
  7. Caught two browns at openhiem park on a spinner. I'll start bass fishing this weekend
  8. I order from bass pro all the sizes and colors delivered in a week. I shop at bass pro like a woman buys shoes
  9. Says between 55 and 60 degrees next Saturday I will be there fishing
  10. Warm enough to go for trout at openhiem park that's where I'll be My buddy likes the blue and black pit boss he swears by them watermelon and pumpkin work for me if it's not broke don't fix it. I go to catch
  11. Zoom brush hog in various size work also Berkley havoc pit boss work. Never tried jig there. As far as u need to cast I think it would be difficult to manipulate properly
  12. I never used a chatter bait. I don't even own any. With the price of lures these days which is ridiculous, I only buy what I know works for me. Watermelon and pumkin soft baits, silver and blue or silver and black hard baits. White or white and chartreuse spinner baits, white triple blade buzz bait, couple of frogs.those colors catch smallmouth or largemouth. In this area it's all you need
  13. I'm heading to openhiem park in an hour for some yummy fresh stocked trout
  14. Next weekend supposed to be nice. Looking forward to finally getting a nice day to fish.
  15. My brother caught a snapping turtle in there the size of a buick. It does see a lot of action there but mostly up towards the bridge. Most are either to lazy or just intimidated by the heavy weeds and Lily pads to fish along the back where the big ones are. Another thing I noticed is the center of the pond is a great spot also mainly because most people who fish there lack the ability to cast that far, so crack out your 7 footer and get them hard to reach fish.
  16. It's in Ellicott creek park off niagara falls Blvd you can't miss it. One side of the tube bridge is the Erie canal and it drains into the over flow pond. It has by far the largest density of bass in the wny area. Catch them from Sun up to Sun down. I've caught a few pike in there also
  17. Yeah that place is amazing. If you can't catch bass there you shouldn't fish. Everything works there from Texas rig softbaits to buzz baits. When the weeds and pads come in I crush them on frogs.
  18. Devils hole or whirlpool. The stairs suck but it's usually worth the walk
