Explain what you mean by "the steering goes all out of whack". Mounting shouldn't matter whether it's mounted to the right or left. I assume this is a hand controlled motor?

Had the same problem yesterday except my one fish was probably 7 ounces. I also lost about 6 jigs. Tough days are all part of the sport though.

I don't but much thought into certain rods for specific techniques. I have different size an action rods and use them how they feel best. But at times all my rods throw whatever is guna get bit at the time. A Texas rig will work with any rod but you might prefer it on some rather than others. As the above poster says jut do what feels best

Much like a spinnerbait or swim jig which is basically what it is. Burn under surface or slow roll deep. I like to count them down and run them just fast enough to feel the blade vibrate. There great around grass as well. You can use any trailer but my favorite are boot tail swim baits. Get out on the water with them and you will get used to it pretty quick.

My definition of a crank that hunts is what the rapala scatter raps do on a side note I would definitely buy your dock cranks!

I don't want to add the all the questions but I read you adjusted the engine height to different positions but you need to do as Tom said and set the cavitation plate level with the bottom of boat and leave it there. Lower pitch props bring boat on plane faster and hold it there. So you may be over-propped. When you say the prop is spinning out you are sucking air and need to trim down. Do you ever experience and porpoising? Also what about water spray? What does the water look like coming from back of boat?

almost all my fishing is done with braid except topwater. I highly recommend braid to anyone just starting to use a baitcaster as well. it cast great and all birdnest pull right out

@primetime interested in the zman but don't have any experience with the elaztec material, I've tried the BBB cane thumpers but had similar issues you had with the yums. Tails are always crooked. I believe I will try a few you listed but I imagine I'll always have a bag or two of swim senko's with me. If anything just for confidence. Also think I'll check out strike kings line of swimmers. Something about the color KVD magic catches my eye every time. Thanks guys

Probably not a bass right next to the gills but as easy as it is to cast why not flip it. If there was a non active bass down there a falling bait might look enough like a dying fish enough to get a reaction bite. Hard to say for sure man

could be there is something about them that puts the bass off, or that your fishing during non active times. I don't normally ask why im not getting hits with a certain lure unless someone else is getting bit while using it. don't get dead set on one bait, just let the fish tell you what they want

They love live bait or love shad I should say, that is the best way to catch the big ones but I do ok with the above mentioned lures. you really just have to troll for them for the most part unless like I said you catch em feeding on a school of shad. I don't know what your lake is like but they like to hang around river and creek channels and travel them like roads chasing the shad. also on a side note if you catch any to eat make sure you cut away all the red in the meat(you will see it) until there clean white fillets. otherwise they don't taste so good.
