Running Depths
FBL, I just noticed we are talking about the same book. lol

Running Depths
Check out the books Precision Trolling, and Precision Casting by Mark Romanak. You wont get any better info than those books. Precision Trolling has a chart listing all kinds of lures with their running depth, on what size line, and how far your line has to be out to reach that depth. A must for big time crankbait users! You can do a seach on the net for Mark Romanak, and it will take you to a sight with all his books for sale!

Hate spinnerbaits?
Man I dont know where you guys are from, but here in Texas spinnerbait work well yaer round! The spinnerbait is my favorite bait to throw, closely followed by a crank. My biggest LMB (9.5) was caught on an old beat up H&H spinnerbait, the spinner barely spun, and there was not much of the bades that didnt have corrosion on them, not to mention the skirt was half gone! lol The only reason I was using that beat up spinnerbait, is because it was the last one left. Since then I make sure I am well stocked with spinnerbaits before I leave the house!

What technique or bait should you use...but dont ?
FBL, I think we are in the same boat! Before I read your post, those were the 3 types of baits, that came to mind. I usually use Spinnerbaits, and Crankbaits most of the time, but most of my friends swear by plastics, and usually catch bigger fish. I think the reason I use SBs and CBs is because there is not alot to it, and they usually produce well. They may not catch the biggest fish, but they usually catch more. Plastics, to me, take to much time, and I am kind of impatient. lol I am trying to use plastics more, and hope I get better at it, real soon! lol
