What bait do you use most often?

Featured Replies

By this I mean out of every softbait/lure etc that you have, what is your most used? Regardless of the time of year/fishing situation. Mine would have to be a 3inch GYCB or YUM senko.

My goal for 2006 and moving now into 2007 is focusing much of my time on jigs. I hope to make this lure class my "go to" baits.

A jig, a 3/8oz. black/blue one to be exact. I always have one tied on no matter where or what I am fishing.

I don't have a bait that I use most often. I'm pretty comfortable and enjoy fishing a bunch of different styles.

1/2 oz black/blue strike king pro model jig, although I am starting to find myself using a sweet beaver/berkley beast (watermelon red flake) in a lot of situations where I usually pitch a jig.   Now I have to re-evaluate everything.  Dang it!

#1 Texas Rigged Gene Larew 7 ½ Salty Ring Worm Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage).

The rings give this bait a fatter/larger profile in the water, but the actual body where your hook goes is very small providing for a faster more solid hook penetration.

I Carolina rig mroe than anything.  About any plastic creature will do the job.

Jigs and plastics would be #2.

I'm similar to Cart7 but I probably have 5 or 6 baits which cover most situations that I'll fish more than others.

white terminators and yum dingers in baby bass color.

whittler, what is that?

SPEEDBEAD, that is a crankbait that I make, my signature is on the bottom.

I always have some type of ratltrap type bait on one of my rods.

a jig is also pretty much a gurantee.

If you see me fishing a senko you can count on one thing for certain.

I'm having a tough day.
