  1. I use plano's 3700 boxes for my baits, and flambeau 3700 deep boxes for soft plastics (although they are not called 3700 but they are the same size). I would buy some flambeau 3700 size boxes, they come with z-rust tabs that will help with rust.
  2. I would use 30 lb braid for frogs/rats, jigs and flipping primary! When I'm fishing around grass (i.e. chatter bait), i would also use braid! I would stick to mono for top water baits with treble hooks! Good luck!
  3. My go to Spinning rod is a 7' medium fast action Fenwick Elite Bass Tech. LOVE IT!
  4. ill be graduating high school (in southern ontario) next year and from what i know, there aren any bass fishing teams in collages or universities. Its unfortunate!
  5. Thanks, i am leaning towards that rod! Its cheaper than the other one and i feel like a moderate will be to slow for my liking!
  6. From my experience: Robo worm drop shotted, popper, senko rigged wacky style, bitsy flipping jig and a trick worm on a shaky head!
  7. Alright so I'm looking for a new crank bait rod. I am sticking to the Fenwick HMG and the Elite bass tech series rod (baitcasting), but I'm not sure what action i should go with. I have a fast action now that want to use for spinnerbaits etc. First of all, should i go with a medium or medium heavy? I will be using it for all of my cranks so I'm siding with medium heavy. Now the big question, moderate or moderate fast action tip? I am worried that with a moderate action i may have problems setting the hook or what not. Im new to the 'specializing' rod game as I'm in the process of doing so. This will be my first rod thats not a fast or extra fast action so any input helps... Thanks!
  8. I would defiantly recommend the HMG series. I am in the process of transitioning all of my rods to Fenwick. If you have some spear $$ laying around you should try out the bass elite tech series, nothing but good things to say about the rods. I own both 1 piece and 2 piece spinning rods. I would recommend you go with the one piece since from what i can tell, there is an improvement in sensitivity and the action of the tip, but it would vary from rod to rod and quality. It depends what is more convent for you... good luck!
