  1. Also not impressed with the new ones, i will miss the cork/tac
  2. Haven't used the E6x, but i totally recommend the Aetos, love mine. For 95$? Its a steal
  3. Yea i have only really used suffix 832, ill give some other brands a try, thanks! Ill check it out, thanks!
  4. Recommend looking at a Daiwa Tatula CT, retails $129 and its my favourite reel as of right now, can't beat the price!
  5. Yeah guides are really small, really annoying at times
  6. I have 40lb braid on my frogging/flipping/pitching rod. Been having problems with braid wrapping around my guides, sometimes its only my last or second toast guide, other times it gets wrapped around a few. Its not a huge problem, just annoying when you have to fix it, and recommendations to help prevent this?
  7. Been using the Aetos for about 3 weeks now, love it. Look for a longer/heavier cranking rod, maybe a mod fast that could also handle chatterbaits/spinner baits!
  8. Not sure if that exists, but i love my InvizX, minimal to no problems. I use 12 lb for cranking
  9. Love both the original and ct, although the ct is smaller and has a deeper spool then the original, i don't feel a performance different.
  10. Has anyone used the Fenwick aetos 7'0 medium moderate bait casting rod? Lure rating 1/4 - 5/8? If so, how does it preform and what can it handle well, and not so well? Thanks! Any feedback is appreciated!
  11. Mornings and evenings work best. I only fish frogs in lillypads and surface vegetation (i prefer poppers and walking baits in open water), with a lot of luck in the middle of the day actually. Must be because the bass are seeking the shade under the pads when the sun is up, good luck!
  12. Usually low light conditions; morning and evening. I have also caught bass in the middle of the day under lilies with a frog. If you see fish busting on the surface, throw some topwater! I have had tremendous with luck smallies, trowing poppers in 3-8 feet of water, over rocky points right as the sun is setting. Good luck!
  13. Try soft plastics with some nature colours, i would recommend trying a paddle tailed swim bait and fishing it right over the grass. A weightless senko texas rigged, and a drop shot would also be my go-tos around grass. Chatter baits also come through grass well. Good luck!
  14. My go to finesse set up! Rod: Fenwick elite bass tech 7'0 m/f Reel: Shimano sahara 3000FD Line: 10 lb Sunline Sniper FC, going to be putting on braid soon! How do you like the autos, been eyeballing them!
  15. I like the pad crashers, pretty cheap, good quality and easy to find.
  16. Sink to the bottom, drag and pause or hop and pause! I like using a 3/8 and 1/4 skakey head, with a trick worm or robo worm, good luck!
  17. Love the rapala dt series!
  18. I also fish in the Kawarthas, i can't wait for season to open! Me exactly!
  19. Shimano sellus is pretty nice for the price ($50-$60), and you can find a Daiwa tatula for about 100$ on eBay. Thats the combo i would recommend! Some Bps combos are pretty good too.
  20. Also thew my p-line out after one day. The remainder of it will be used as backing now.
  21. Im also transitioning to Fenwick rods, haven't tried the Aetos yet, thanks for the review!
  22. Drop shots always produce!
