  1. Wow no one here has tried these?
  2. The problem i see with sticking with one or two baits is that what if you are using the wrong thing? Then your whole day was a waste. I use about 5 poles all rigged differently. If i catch fish after fish on a lure and then i try a worm and it nothng... then im gonna use the lure. I simply tried everything on the baby fish until they liked it. Then Fished it where he grown ups where and WHAM. Im just a nobie but made sence to me.
  3. my .02 I had luck with Kastmasters. Wally World carries two sizes... i used the small one and caught a 14" LMB Tons of 8"ers for fun and a few pan fish for eating. In reeds, 6 foot of water, end of a cove, clear water, 60's temp slightly cloudy sky Also here in california the bass are also biting Panther Martin spinners with verious collor tails. If you have to go deep use a rat l trap. Those have the bass all pist off.
  4. HAHA hope there are no Gators in california...
  5. I dont remember where i read it but it said that i should keep life like baits and then oposite bais like chartruse and other unatural colors. The bass pro shop says its a bunch of bologna. He says he fishes with purple worms morning noon and night. Always catches fish. I think most of my problems is fishing from shore. There is next to no plants or cover. As i said above the only action is the little fish in the shallows. Shore fishing is for chumps
  6. Anyone have a good pan fish site? How to catch ect? good baits? hooka man up
  7. :'( cheep? Gulp and i thought i was going over board. HAHA I think im ummmm Adicted. All i think about is fishing...
  8. Where do i find pan fish early fall? I have a family member who loves pan fish. His health is failing. Im fishing here. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=2610+San+Antonio+Rd,+Bradley,+CA&ie=UTF8&z=13&ll=35.827556,-120.953293&spn=0.092694,0.21595&om=1 i only found one cove all the way at the end. Used a cast master and i could catch a few. decent size. I would like to know. 1. Do they bite deeper out? i tried the lure and i got nothing... i used a split shot to get it deeper but all i got was snagged. They didnt seem to be interested in my crappie lures. 2. Why are meal worms not working?
  9. Good ideas, i just went to walmart. Dropped *gulp* $40 on just bait lol chart worms, popr', popn image jr., jitterbug, 1/4 kastmaster, 3 rooster tails.... whoa $$$ Thanks everyone.
  10. I went to the lake today. First time to this one. It has great fingers on it. very long and kinda deep. I was recently hooked up by a bass pro shop. Set up my worm and everything. My first 2 casts worked with a purple worm in a texas rig. two small bass. Never worked after that. after 2 coves later and 2 worms later... No hits. So im sitting there checking out my tackle box. HMMMMM lets try this.. crank bait. nothing, spinner, crank bait, cast master WHAM, was catching pan fish, bass.... Panther martin, WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM every cast i caught somerthing. My day ended at 34 bass and about 10 pan fish. I was very happy. avarage size was about 1lb 8 inches long... not amazing but fun! 1. Why did this work so well and none of the other baits worked very well? I notices i was only catching fish in weeds and in shallow water. No large bass, where are the large bass at? I tried casting my worm out into open water and i never got anything. 2. What am i doing wrong with the texas worm? the pro shop swares he only uses that same purple worm and he fishes in tournies..

  12. Is this a decent/cheep way to get to better spots? I found one at walmart for 59 bucks. I think it will be good for a start. Whats the worst thing that can happen? Do i need flippers? So i get chest high wadders?
