Is p-line any good?
I just bought a 300yard spool of 12lb floro and in a grand total of less then 10 casts i went threw the whole thing. I rarely ever get birds nests and when i do there easy to get out but this **** just unrolls itself! Also the line had small kinks and bends all the way threw the spool. Anyone know if this is just a bad spool or if its just the way the line is? It was only 9$ so its no big deal but i just hate having gear fail on me that quick

Best baits for muskie and pike
Looking to get more into big pike and muskie fishing. Usually i just throw big bass spinners and swimbaits but i know theres better tackle out there. If someone could list a few good baits that wont break the bank it would help

Top five smallmouth baits
For the lakes i would fish slow using finesee baits or a jerkbait and in rivers try a bucktail jig they catch everything.

Where are the smallmouth?
Probably out in deeper water. Throw something finesee and fish slow if that doesnt work try something big and fish it slow

How should i fish this
Ive fished many areas like this where a waterfall or something creates a deep dropoff usually i fish rivers and creeks for trout but what i do is find the drop of and cast a floating stick bait with a deep diving lip about 10-20 feet past the drop off and slowly reel in. The current will push the bait down in front of them. Then when you hit the face of the drop off just open your bail and let the bait float down stream then repeat the process. This works great for me when trout fishing

What are you throwing for post spawn bass?
Smallmouth are off the beds and fishing is slow here. usually i can get them out deep with a dropshot or shaky head. Sometimes they hit deep diving stick baits but havent had much luck this year. Anyone have any tips?
