  1. Just got 2 of these by accident in my LTB last month. Does anyone have some good stories? Do you use a trailer on them? Thanks
  2. It isn't much, but it serves me well. Any tips for the trailer on the big one? Post your own favorite swim jigs
  3. +1 Also turn the senko around and hook it from the other end
  4. Yeah they've got 4" kinami 7-packs going for .89 and reaction strike fatheads for 1.65. Definately going to be picking some up
  5. http://www.overstockbait.com/dealoftheday.asp overstock bait flash sale - not very many items, but they are dirt cheap
  6. @Jonathan Evans that one was still $12
  7. Found myself at Dicks today and picked up 3 livetarget lures for $12 all in. Regular that would be $30, so I'll take it!
  8. Not a hudd, but this is on super sale right now in case you wanted to try out something cheaper before you made the committment http://www.overstockbait.com/Reaction-Strike-8-Bass-Harasser-p/8-bh.htm
  9. Now there's a man who knows his tackle! Thanks for the help
  10. Picked this out of my dad's tackle box the other day. It's a hard body bluegill bait, with a soft plastic tail that is supposed to wiggle and swim. It doesn't get great action at all - maybe I'm fishing it wrong. Any idea on an ID or a method on throwing it? It looks sweet if nothing else...
  11. Holy Moly Overstock Bait has a huge Bass vs. Musky sale going on right now http://www.overstockbait.com/Shop-Bass-s/2233.htm - prices are crazy low on some items. I've been wanting to pick up an alabama rig for a long time, and now I am going to be able to for less than $3! You have to check it out.
  12. CA Delta chatterbait fish! My electronic scale broke, but my friend's old spring scale read somewhere about 5.5. My new PB!
  13. Is there any way we can take advantage of this buyout and get some good cabela's deals, or is that not how these things go down?
  14. Ever fish the quabbin? Any tips? Fishing was rough for me there last year.
  15. I fish in Northern CA over the summer and as I'm sure you all know, the largemouths here have no problem hitting big swimbaits. I'm off to Massachusetts in about a month and I'm wondering if it's worth it to bring my big 8" trout pattern swimbaits over there to throw late fall and early spring for smallies. Thanks!
  16. The only way to know for sure is to cut it open and see what is in its stomach. If you're in to eating bass, you could just take a peep and see what it's been eating. If that doesn't sound too good, you could always try targeting specific presentations when you fish (to mimic each of the baitfish) and see which one works the best.
  17. When you texas rig something, say a craw bait, do you ever superglue the weight to the bait in order to have more control and a better sense of what is going on with your bait? Often on the fall, my bullet weight will sink way faster than the plastic and I will end up not being able to feel what is happening to my bait, only the sinker.
  18. This weekend I decided to fish a local NorCal pond that gets heavy pressure from the nearby neighborhoods. Landed 6 fish in roughly an hour, including a nice 3-lb'er. I've been fishing that pond my whole life and I've never gotten more than a bite or two. Incredible!
  19. Has anyone ever fished it? Any tips? I'm going tomorrow morning and was intending to rent a boat there and hit some points. Additionally, if anyone lives in the area and would be willing to split a $40 boat rental fee, another fisherman is always welcome!
  20. Just bought 4.5 inch s-waver swimbait and I'm having a bit of trouble getting hooked up on it. I know it is typical to catch less fish than usual on a swimbait, but I was just wondering how you all fished it, and what results it yielded. Thanks!
  21. What type of line would you all recommend to use with the 130 size (the one that is 5.75 in)? I've been using 12lb mono but am afraid that a hookup on a big fish / big hit might end up being an expensive mistake.
  22. Wow thats really rough. Never realized there were whole states w/out d.d bass in them
