  1. Yeah I was fishing a creek channel close to the Lilly pads and just couldn’t get bit punching so went to the next set of contours which was a flat next to a rapid drop off and no luck there repeat this over and over now maybe idk what contours I should be looking for
  2. We have quite a bit of grass on our lowland reservoirs yet every time I punch I come short of getting a bite. I honestly don’t think it’s equipment or technique it could be location but I’m going to common places you would think they would be near points in the grass, edges, deep into the grass etc. I do only put the rod in my hand for about 30 minutes then next spot and try again for about the same amount of time am I just not milking the spot well enough or?
  3. Is mention quiet a bit on here it is the flutter spoon and not the jigging spoon that is called a structure spoon correct?
  4. Really I always thought you drop down to the fish and jig the lure watching how the fish reacted . The drop shot is a little different as you don't really want to move the weight and just the bait but I still thought you watched the lure go down and then seen if it was close to the fish
  5. how about fluro being more sensitive?
  6. New to drop shots I know all about the set up but having trouble seeing on my graph. I’ll break down all the details I can think of below. I’m in 20 foot of water so I am deep enough, I drop the bait slightly behind the bow to the left and the right. I’m running carbons with the sensitivity bumped up to a+4. Do I have to have the arrow of the trolling motor facing forward? also I’m on a tin boat and do get blown around quite a a bit is there any tips for this when drop shooting like where and when to drop it? what could my issue be?
  7. Thank you this has been quite helpful what techniques would make you swing towards the major craft
  8. I’m mainly wanting to throw light weight sinkers with worms or maybe a small finesse jig
  9. Looking for the beat lure retriever for baits that are a bit deeper and range from finesse to 10xd and jigs
  10. Don’s major craft bait caster is a 6’8” m extra fast and Daiwa’s is a 7’0” m-mh extra fast are they about the same as far as action goes or is the Daiwa to heavy? Trying to get as close as possible
  11. No boat lanes, Would it be perfectly ok to hit the trees going under 2mph?
  12. Are the DVD’s for the carbon units worth the cost of 90 for the whole set is there a lot more information on the units and how to understand what your seeing then what’s on YouTube?
  13. Fished a lake yesterday that probably over 600 trees at all depths you could see some stick quite far out of the water even in 50 foot depth range and of course many under the water. I but motored by trimming all the way up just where I had a strong stream of water coming out still (probably going 1 to 1.5 mph) many people was going 3-5 am I just taking it to easy any advice on how to navigate water like this? Without causing Any harm to the motor
  14. For a pressured lake during a windy day what tactics do you use that are finesse? Do you still throw light weight? What wind do you usually put that stuff away at?
  15. Are they just out dated or do they have a use now say for example better sound when hitting a bead
  16. Can’t be bought anymore to my knowledge I heard skinny bear is close which ones it so?
  17. That’s been my problem then I haven’t been marking everything because it wasn’t in the “right” area
  18. For a swimming grub would you rig it sideways?
  19. Now what do you suggest when you see a brush pile or something similar do you mark it no matter where its at?
  20. 800 acres is the size of lake I’m talking about. ok so here’s my issue I don’t get to fish much so when I go I target the key areas according to seasonal patterns but don’t really graph the areas. My graphs are turned on and I’m looking at them but I don’t know exactly what to mark because if it’s a hump for example I see the hard spots and nothing else there do I just keep graphing around the hump? also how do you know when to fish instead of graph? do I just graph until I see baitfish and fish and if not move on?
