  2. I am looking to buy my first baitcaster rod and reel this summer and looking for suggestions on what brand yall would recommend. I am not looking to spend a ton of money but will spend a decent amount if i have to on a good rod. Any suggestions yall have would be greatly appreciate it. Thank You

I bought the Live Target sunfish about 3 weeks ago and have had many blow ups but not many hookups. Ive caught some good bass on it and actually caught a 5 pounder on it yesterday evening who swallowed it. I have caught no little fish on this just 2 pounders and up and maybe that is what is blowing up my lure and they cant get to the hook very well (which honestly not catching small ones is fine). So just curious to what everyone else is experiencing with the lure and the hookup ratio.
  4. im Fishin in North MS too on ponds and fihin a small swim bait slow has done well for me this summer. Topwater hasn't really produced for me this summer like in the past so ive stuck with swim bait and worm for the most part. usually smaller swim bait and a 6in worm.
  5. Smaller baits work great in ponds for me. Worms, Swimbaits, poppers/buzzbaits are a few of my go to
  6. smaller baits work great in ponds. A small swimbait is one of my favorite lures. But don't be afraid to throw bigger baits as well.
  7. Most of the water I fish is basically 0 visibility and trust me shallow dirty water can have some great fish. Black and Blue jig is one of my favorite muddy water lures. Best of Luck to ya

I love using Keitechs swimbaits but the durability is terrible and I run out of them quickly. They have great action and I catch a lot of fish on them but its hard to buy them when you may only get one fish on a lure before it breaks. What swimbaits do yall use? and whats a good swimbait that has good action and decent durability?
  10. When bass push these bait fish up like this in my pond I use a small buzzbait or a 2-3in swimbait mostly. Some other good options that ive used are a small popper, texas rigged craw, small spinnerbaits or square bill. I have fished bigger baits during these situations but I have found that small lures work much better and I still catch plenty of good quality fish. Best of Luck to ya.

Hey yall I am getting ready to go fish some pretty clear water in a couple of weeks and was looking for some advice since I fish nothing but dirty water. I fished there last summer for a little bit but not much success unless it was dark out. The lake is a naturally cold lake that is visible 6-10ft in most places. Any advice on how to fish in this type of water would be greatly appreciated.
