Thanks for all the help on the post guys!! I believe I will go with the TotalScan transducer on the trolling motor. Not overly worried about having side imaging on the trolling motor due to the fact that you have to be going a certain speed for it to work correctly. I'm used to hummingbird having an all in one transducer for my previous hummingbird 997. I am also under the impression that with the Gen3, the hub is not required to network between the two units due to wireless connection? Feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

I am in the process of installing a Lowrance HDS 7 Gen3 on the bow of my new boat. With Lowrance I understand that in order to have 2D sonar and structure scan down scan and side imaging it requires two separate transducers. I have done some research to find a transducer that has both structure scan and 2D sonar built into one transducer that I could use to mount to my trolling motor. My question is will this work and if so what are some products that would do the job? Also I have one HDS 7 Gen3 mounted in my dash already for the back. I don't mind having two transducers for the transom. Will buy the hub to network the two units together.
