Believe I'm going with the 2017 Vibe Sea Ghost 130. Found one on FB for $800. Plus I joined the Vibe Kayak Owners group and man Vibes customer support is top notch.- Yet another "What kayak?" post.
Just found a Pelican Catch 120 NXT on FB for $600, said its only been in the water about 4 times. But also found the Sea Ghost 130 for $800 on there. Sometimes I hate decisions.- Yet another "What kayak?" post.
That's a nice looking Yak there. That's one of the ones on my list of possible yaks. While the first one you pictured looks like a nice ride, there is just something about the sit on top ones that just really pop out there to me. I'm sure it'll be fun figuring out how to get it loaded / unloaded, but where there is a will there is a way. Will just give me an excuse to buy a trailer then.- Yet another "What kayak?" post.
Appreciate the response on it. Yea the weight is what is killing it for me. I don't have a garage, all I really have is a front porch to store my yak on and I will be transporting it on top of a 1995 jeep grand cherokee. I did look on Facebook Marketplace last night and found 4 Vibe Sea Ghost 130s, 3 of them for $800, and one for $775. The one for $775 came with a hummingbird fish finder, a Go Pro, upgraded paddle, upgraded seat, and is only located 2 hours away. Really interested in that one. Just not sure which one I want yet. I keep watching youtube videos on them both. The Sea Ghost and the Shadow Caster.- Yet another "What kayak?" post.
So I've been tinkering with the idea of possibly getting a Kayak for about a year now. Yeah, I thought ok let's just look online and pick one out. Ok, there is a nice one, I like that one also, oh this one is nice. So a year later I'm still browsing thru all the kayaks that are made. I'm ready to stop looking and make a purchase. What I'm looking for is Under $1000 (Selling an old truck I got, so whatever I sell it for is what I have to buy a kayak with) Easy to stand in A few that come to mind that I've liked so far was. Pelican's The Catch 120 NXT (Honestly tho the 120 NXT doesn't seem to offer a whole lot more than the regular 120 for the price increase it has) F&S Shadow Caster (Even tho it's almost 100 lbs) Vibe Sea Ghost 130 Honestly from just watching youtube videos and looking at pictures online, they all seem to be built about the same. So, anyone got any recommendations? My fishing conditions will most likely be my local river, which is pretty huge river and very busy in the summer.- Best way to store kayak with limited room?
That's what I'm thinking. So far my push mower and my 100 qt Coleman cooler hasn't left the yard. I could store it next to the house with 2 padlocks and cables. One padlock attached to the porch on one end, and another lock around my gas meter on the other end. THen cover with a tarp- Best way to store kayak with limited room?
That's the problem, I live in a small barely 3 bedroom house with my girlfriend and 3 kids. Have really nowhere to put the thing other than that building or stand it up in my bedroom. SCRATCH THAT, just measured my tallest ceiling in the house and it's only 8ft. So would be no way possible to stand it up in the bedroom. Guess I'm not getting a kayak.- Best way to store kayak with limited room?
Will be looking to purchase my first kayak soon. First problem, where the hell am I going to store this thing? I don't have a garage, I do have a small storage building out back, I MIGHT be able to stand it up in. Thing is, I live in Central Alabama and it's so humid down here it gets HOT, like hellfire and brimstone hot. I know right now inside my storage building out back it's probably easily 100+ degrees in there. Would I need to worry about anything cracking on the kayak if I was to store it in there? I would throw it up on some saw horses and cover it with a tarp outside, but I'm scared, someone might like it a little more than I do and take it home with them, Plus I'm a heavy sleeper so not really sure I'd hear them in time to put a bullet in them before they make off with it. I might could find a spot in the house and stand it up, IF the girlfriend would allow it. So other than that I really have nowhere to store it. So would the storage building idea be a bad thing or an ok thing?- These old lures worth anything? Cleaning out tackle box!
Just looked at BPS and wal-mart online and the box is still $57 at wal-mart and $69.99 at BPS. Plus I have 2 of these boxes. Might try and sell them and pick up a backpack for my gear.- These old lures worth anything? Cleaning out tackle box!
Someone sent me a message soon as I posted the pics asking me to take pics of that one they wanted to buy it. Turns out it had no markings on it or anything.- These old lures worth anything? Cleaning out tackle box!
Appreciate the responses. Might throw them up on here and see if anyone is interested in any trades. I got a whole side panel on the box full of spinnerbaits, and found a few packs of worms and other goodies in the top of the box.- These old lures worth anything? Cleaning out tackle box!
I do have one question about one of the crank baits. It has 2 spots on it's bill to tie line onto. Is that a deep diving / shallow diving spots? Also I appreciate all the responses. I believe I'll clean some of these up and see what I can make work. And the older ones like the devil horse I'll just put on a shelf.- These old lures worth anything? Cleaning out tackle box!
Wasn't really wanting to sell any of them, more like just trash them and start over. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have some lure in there that wasn't mass produced that I prob should keep on a shelf somewhere. Appreciate the response. - Found this on FB. Good deal?
