Losing fish on frogs..
For me the problem is the fish misses the frog completely even when working it slow, once they hit the target havent had any problems. PS: 5+ strikes before one actually hits it, really Thick pads is probably part of it?

The Rod Holder struggle
Ah ok cool some good ideas guys. appreciate it PS: Yeah i've already got some PVC homemade rod holders for storage reasons but due to the placement and angle can't use them with lines in the water for trolling / drifting etc I'll check out the ones that mount to cleats but if they dont work maybe i can try mounting them to the interior center console + storage boxs or a big ass cooler, hate putting holes in the boat

The Rod Holder struggle
Got my rig in the water and it's been great, 16 foot 1998 PolarKraft semi V in my local electric only lake with a Minn kota 80LB transom. I'm really not wanting to drill into the boat for rod holders but i do need a bunch for trolling and so forth, this boat has the double gunnels running around so the side clamp on holders isn't really a option due to needing the 3 inch mouth, Any Ideas or suggestions? Atm i'm thinking about just using some Azax board with 100% silicone to secure some Scotty power lock rod holders. Even though its well above the water line i hate running holes through my boat, what do you guys think~

Jig Fishing Questions
I'm not big into Jigs but i've noticed the same thing, i'd like 85% of the time they hit it on the initial cast and rarely get them on the retrieve so when bringing it back in i usually just pull it up and let her drop over n over

New Boat, Need advice :)
Hello, I'm getting a new boat for my local lake, i'm putting a 30LB push electric trolling motor on the transom only due to it being electric only lake. Not using a trailer, going to load it in the truck and keep it chained up at the lake. Initially i was going to buy just a 12" jon boat used but i'm now conflicted since the used ones are 350 - 400 average in my area, some of them being 20 - 70 years old. I can get a brand new 12" tracker topper 1236 for $599 or i could go with the 14" tracker 1436 for $659. Any advice would be amazing, it just feels weird trying to save 200-300 bucks and buying something 30+ years old rather than brand new. Is it because the older models are higher quality? Also for Used i'd likely need to go with a V bottom since they're much easier to come by. Here is one i'm considering for about $300 vrs the two new trackers above. PS: Will be fishing primarily with myself + 1 other person, some days possibly 3 but not often Thanks in advance~ https://images.craigslist.org/00S0S_5xFSp5s7kTE_600x450.jpg
