  1. I'm my area we have outdoor/fishing/hunting/boat shows. There's about 4-5 different ones from winter thru March. All of them unfortunately have turned into a flea market with nothing but junk and crap unrelated to what the show is all about. When I was a kid they were a ton better. Oh well. If you look at Bassmaster you can see a lot of the new products at ICAST. Saves me the money to travel and dealing with a ton of people.
  2. I vote for a night vision fishing video from A-Jay or Bluebasser86.
  3. It pretty much is already. I think both organizations are throwing hail Mary's hoping they can stir up attention. Mayweather is the heel and McGregor the face. Then there's the circus of their publicity tour going around the world trying to draw more attention and more PPV buyers. Like I said before I don't care for either sport but I never thought it would stoop this low.
  4. Actually his tax lawyer said ( I don't know the terminology) to a judge that he's going to be making money in the near future and will be able to pay them then. He obviously has the assets to pay, but cash?
  5. They've been playing their "press conferences" on the morning radio show I listen to and McGregor is 2-0 against Mayweather in these 2 "conferences" so far. The egos are waaaaaaay too big for me to care about either boxing or MMA but the circus the past two days have been fun to listen to. Maybe the two morning show host help with that but it's been entertaining. These two are probably good friends and are hanging out right now and are laughing all the way to the bank!
  6. Otsigo lake is fair game? What's the fishing report for Lake Menderchuck?
  7. Cool video. Looked like a great day. Next time you go out you'll have to sit for 14 minutes though, I counted 7 fish release penalties. J/K ?
  8. Unfortunately he probably keeps it in mind too when he's taken over a month to fix your TM. Sucks your in this pickle.
  9. I have a similar mechanic who works on my vehicles. He does it out of his house. I've know him for almost 20 years now so I trust him. He's a good mechanic, trustworthy, and cheap. However he's a tick poor businessman. He's gets ahead of himself when scheduling and has too much going on (not his full time job) so he forgets a lot. What I've now done is I found another at home mechanic I've began to trust. So when I need something done I very politely give mechanic first dibs and let him know I need it done by this time or I can have number 2 do it. Sometimes he jumps right on it and other times he's honest and says he can't do it by then. I'd look for another mechanic and I'd approach this guy and give him an ultimatium. If you like and trust his work use mechanic number to as a little fire under his rear to get things done quicker. If there isn't anyone else available, then remember the old saying "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". I'd blow his phone up until I get it back fixed or not.
  10. My style is junk fishing. LOL. I try this and try that, read this and try that. Haven't really developed a style yet. After no bites and taking X number of fish off for my wife I resort back to the trusty Senko so finesse? Sincerely, Confused in Michigan ?
  11. I'll have to try that one with my "finance manager"....it'll most likely fly like a lead balloon.
  12. Lol thanks. Still not quitting the day job though!
  13. My post was a very very poor attempt at humor. My statement about them not being bottom feeders was completely inaccurate. I'll save the comedy for the comedians and I promise I won't quit my day job. ?
  14. Black Friday/Christmas time is a good time as well. Also look at the on-line marine electronics stores for good deals all year long. Most will be $100 or so cheaper than the big box stores. If you look at them and the big box stores when they have their sales you'll get the best deal one way or another.
  15. That's easy bass aren't bottom feeders and unlike us dirty humans they don't believe in the 5 second rule. If it hits bottom they leave it for the bottom feeders. ?
  16. I'm still taken back when I see someone for the first time. I guess I'm horrible at picturing people. ?
  17. I'm guessing it's an LED light. If it isn't I'd look at LED lights they'll save you on your batteries.
  18. I have to to join the hook club yet (I've drawn blood but that's it) but I'm a member of the nail gun club and I've renewed my membership 3 times! 16d all 3 time luckily all were in the meat and none in the bone. All 3 I pulled out, hurt worse days after than when I did it.
  19. If I may quote Mr. Catt "follow the money"
  20. It's funny how we're all alike. I have several nice sunset pictures saved from when I've been skunked.
  21. The technique that catches me the most fish is getting my lure wet. If your lure isn't wet you're not going to catch fish. It's a numbers game, put the numbers in your favor. The more you line is wet the better your odds of catching a fish. You can throw this or that and catch fish, but if you're not fishing you won't catch them. Conclusion: the longer/more you fish the more fish you'll catch. The longer you fish the more fish you'll cross paths with. There is no magic lure so don't look for one. The trick is time on the water.
  22. Part of the reason Price left Detroit was because he "didn't like" Detroit the city not the team and apparently made peoples live miserable in the club house. If memory serves me correctly the trade left some scratching their heads like "that's all we got for Price?" His attitude might explain why. Just like a few years before that Avisial (guaranteed wrong spelling) Garcia was quietly traded to the White Sox because he supposedly was caught with his hand in the cookie jar at Prince Fielder's house. The Tigers have bad luck with promising players. Oh well they're unstoppable now. ?
  23. Happy birthday America!!!
