  1. I’ve had trouble everywhere lately. I’m a day late and a dollar short. Seems like I’m always on post-front and they have no interest. Tried purcell last weekend but they had it shut down. think they were putting up new power poles or something.
  2. Do any of the okies know who does reel repair around the metro area? I've got and older model caenan that's giving me fits and I'd like to keep it working. I just don't want to send it to shimano and be waiting for weeks. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
  3. So, going through some rods my dad left me the other day, I came across 2 from "before my time" that I'd never heard of. One still has the plastic on part of the split grip cork handle. Sadly, I can't find much on the interwebz. It could be my partial technological ignorance. Anyways, can any of you die hard lip jerkers tell me if these are worth anything? They're in decent shape. I'll get any more info and I'll try to post pictures as needed. All help appreciated thanks Heres what I have so far: Abu Garcia Larry Nixon bass tournament rod part number TR29A00185 Fiberglass crankbait/ topwater 6' medium Shimano beast master fightin rod 6'6" (I assume) medium action Part number BE-1654
  4. 6'4" 275 lbs "not fat just big boned" haha thanks for for the help guys!
  5. I'm trying to get into punching. Found some watermelon red skirts on sale at cabelas, along with some 4/0 Vmc flippin hooks, but can't find bobber stoppers. Can't find them at academy either.. does everyone just buy them online now?
  6. Has anybody been to lake Elmer Thomas or lawtonka lately? How's your luck been? I've been thinking about making a trip over there this weekend or next to do some lip jerkin if the wind isn't terrible. Tight lines!
  7. Good to see more okies here!
  8. Welcome buddy. I live just west of you in the Blanchard area. If we get some decent fishing weather soon let's go!
  9. Definitely interested Blanchard area by the way.
  10. For all you Oklahoma guys: i live around the Blanchard area, and minus 1 or 2 ponds, and the typical trips to thunderbird, I need to find some places to go that are fairly close. Within 30 minutes to an hour. Are there any public fishing places that aren't very pressured you go to? Even places in housing additions with ponds, as long as you don't get kicked out. I don't leave any trash behind, never cause trouble, just want some nice quiet ponds that won't have me being escorted out. I've heard of some in Norman, but have trouble finding info. Any help appreciated thanks!
  11. I live around the Blanchard area. I've been mainly pond fishing. In the evening top water is kinda finicky. A little luck on a shakey head with a cabin creek buoy worm. My best luck was with a big mouth bite cane thumper in watermelon red on a 4/0 swim bait hook or a keitech swing impact in a bluegill flash type color. Haven't been in about 3 days though. This cooler weather might've shut em down. I plan on goin tomorrow so I'll keep you posted.
  12. That's my problem. I really want to get into it, or at least try. But no boat
  13. Any one in the Oklahoma area thinking about doing some amateur tournaments this coming year?
  14. Any one in the Oklahoma area thinking about doing some amateur tournaments this coming year? Guess I should've gone to the tournament section for this.. my mistake! Still a noob guys!
