Pauls Valley City Lake, Oklahoma
I’ve had trouble everywhere lately. I’m a day late and a dollar short. Seems like I’m always on post-front and they have no interest. Tried purcell last weekend but they had it shut down. think they were putting up new power poles or something.

Rod n reel repair -Oklahoma
Do any of the okies know who does reel repair around the metro area? I've got and older model caenan that's giving me fits and I'd like to keep it working. I just don't want to send it to shimano and be waiting for weeks. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Rod worth??
So, going through some rods my dad left me the other day, I came across 2 from "before my time" that I'd never heard of. One still has the plastic on part of the split grip cork handle. Sadly, I can't find much on the interwebz. It could be my partial technological ignorance. Anyways, can any of you die hard lip jerkers tell me if these are worth anything? They're in decent shape. I'll get any more info and I'll try to post pictures as needed. All help appreciated thanks Heres what I have so far: Abu Garcia Larry Nixon bass tournament rod part number TR29A00185 Fiberglass crankbait/ topwater 6' medium Shimano beast master fightin rod 6'6" (I assume) medium action Part number BE-1654

Oklahoma- Lawton area
Has anybody been to lake Elmer Thomas or lawtonka lately? How's your luck been? I've been thinking about making a trip over there this weekend or next to do some lip jerkin if the wind isn't terrible. Tight lines!

Private but legal
For all you Oklahoma guys: i live around the Blanchard area, and minus 1 or 2 ponds, and the typical trips to thunderbird, I need to find some places to go that are fairly close. Within 30 minutes to an hour. Are there any public fishing places that aren't very pressured you go to? Even places in housing additions with ponds, as long as you don't get kicked out. I don't leave any trash behind, never cause trouble, just want some nice quiet ponds that won't have me being escorted out. I've heard of some in Norman, but have trouble finding info. Any help appreciated thanks!

Oklahoma Reports
I live around the Blanchard area. I've been mainly pond fishing. In the evening top water is kinda finicky. A little luck on a shakey head with a cabin creek buoy worm. My best luck was with a big mouth bite cane thumper in watermelon red on a 4/0 swim bait hook or a keitech swing impact in a bluegill flash type color. Haven't been in about 3 days though. This cooler weather might've shut em down. I plan on goin tomorrow so I'll keep you posted.

H20 xpress braid
No bird nest whatsoever. That's why I'm so shocked. Just out of nowhere. Unless you mean mideast it started to bird nest and then snap. I'm still scratching my head. Gonna go with 832 next probably. Thanks

H20 xpress braid
There's probably plenty of threads, but I'm looking for specific instances. I was experimenting with 30lb h20x braid the other day on my reel. Was practicing casting with it, no back lashes, no problems whatsoever. Not changing my technique. Then one cast, sounds like a firecracker, and my weight goes flying off into the field. Didn't know what to think. Sprayed RM spray on it and took it out the other day. Was casting a sebile seeker rattle trap the other day, catching fish, nothing wrong. Then, it happens, and I watch my favorite rattle trap soar off into the depths of the pond. Am I doing something wrong? Is this braid just THAY the? Any help appreciated.

New to the forum
25 years old. Been fishing since I could walk. I used to only fish for what we could eat, occasional striper guide trips to texoma. I've only recently started fishing for bass exclusively. I've taken a liking to fishing plastics. Rage craws, biffle bugs, etc. I do like my crank baits and chatterbait though. I have a lews American hero combo, lews carbon fire on an ancient 7 ft. Abu garcia bass rod, and an older model bass pro tournament reel on a 7 ft I don't remember. Thanks!
