  1. So the ice season here in Utah is going to be starting soon and i was going to target some trophy bluegills a lake called Mantua has produced 2+ Pounders, anyways i was looking at the *** Tickle Stick Ice Fishing Rod's and they have a new 2017 model that is a "Super super ultralight" I am generally just looking for a rod around the $50 price mark that will be really sensitive and good for bluegills so let me know what you think of the tickle stick series and suggest any others you would have in mind thank you!
  2. Well my old swim jog rod finally broke on me, And so did my lews MB, So i picked up a lews laser MG for 60 bucks on sale, And i just want a cheap swim jig rod untell i can get a replacement, No more then 60 bucks at the least, I have looked at many around that price range, And Berkly lightning rods look fine, I just thought id see some other opinions here on the forums, So any suggestions would help, Thank you!.
  3. Sounds great! i will be picking it up in the morning, For 60 bucks i can't complain, Thank goodness Clearance.

  5. So at my local fishing shop, They have 2 reels, The lews laser mg for $60 (Reg $80) | And they also have the Abu pro max 2-L for $60 (Reg $80), The abu is 7.1.1 Gear ratio and so is the Laser MG, The laser MG has 11 pounds of drag vs the abu having 15, For some reason the abu feels like better construction then the laser MG, But honestly i don't really know if it is or not, So that's why i have come to you guys! Both of the reels have good reviews, But most of them are not of people who have really used the 2 reels, So please leave your opinion thank you!.
  6. I am actually getting this reel, For the price point it's perfect, Do you suggest any rods to go with this? I will be striper fishing at lake powell trolling for 10/20 pounders.
  7. So i have been looking around amazon/ebay Looking for a striper bass fishing casting reel that won't break the bank, But have had no luck, I looked at the KastKing rover, But i don't want Chinese junk!, I was hoping to get 16+ pounds of drag, But still have some what of Castability, i will be doing some striper fishing soon in the 20+ Pound range, And want a reel that will hold up, So does anyone have any suggestions or recommended reels? Thank you!
  8. Thanks everyone for the great answers! I think i will be ordering some Win grips and putting them on myself, Thank you all again!
  9. Yes i you can do that, But i have found no grips that will fit my rod.
  10. So i have a Split grip rod that is EVA foam, And it has worn down so much there is no more grip, So i looked into getting Rod grips to go over the EVA Foam, And i did find some on tackle warehouse, But they do not work for split grip rods, So my father told me to use spray-on truck bedliner, I was like No way, So i thought about replacing the grips, But i can't take them off my rod, Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do instead of buying a new rod?
