I was curious to know what is the lightest possible rod and reel for under $260 (just out of curiosity).

I recentaly went out a lake. The water was about 54 degrees and at was about 7 mph wind. I was going with a friend on his boat so he choose where we went to since I've never been to this lake before. I had a hard time trying to find a bait the bass wanted since we were fishing in about 25ft of water and I'm only used to fishing ponds no deeper than 10ft. I was wondering what do you think I could have done to catch these fish. It was also very cloudy and raining. We were fishing rock piles and logs and sticks.

I had a quick question maybe someone can answer phone. If I was going to Texas rig a worm for example a trick worm would you use a medium light like a finesse setup or a medium heavy something that you would throw a jig on.

I've been having a problem with all braids on my bait caster. Every time I pull my line to test how strong my drag is the braid digs itself into the braid on my spool. I was wondering if that's normal and do all lines do that or just braid?
