Paddle Tails
Interesting.Maybe ill pony up for it one of these days.I have to buy a filing cabinet to organize my soft plastics too.
-
Paddle Tails
I haven't.I've only used a few small paddletails as trailers, and the zoom swimming fluke on the weighted hook.

What do you do in the off-season?
Drill a hole and catch them through the ice!

Paddle Tails
The Whopper plopper is the only thing I have from river2sea.That thing is temperamental.Wants to roll and takes 5-10 feet of retrieval before it gets to plopping. I only have it because it came in my LTB. I'd buy 2 Pad Crashers before I got another Plopper

Paddle Tails
You would think for 13 bucks it would work correctly.

Paddle Tails
I almost ordered an Owner flashy swimmer today. Then I remembered I have a fish head spin I don't use much already.@webertime Is the clicking crayfish that bad?
-
Paddle Tails
I was looking at them. They are really thin. 2.99 for everything in that line-up

Haha that's what I have.ML Berkley Lightning.I leave it home most of the time.

Paddle Tails
I was going to get the SI Fats but I didn't feel like driving 40 minutes to Cabelas when I live 10 minutes from BPS and had Reward Points to blow.
-
Paddle Tails
I picked up some 4.8s for weighted swimbait hooks and 3.5s for trailers
-
Swim Jig Rod
I throw mine on a 7'1" MHF St Croix Mojo Bass casting rod and its branded as a jig and trailer rod.My guess is you should keep on doing what your doing.
-
Paddle Tails
I guess throwing them on spinning gear didn't even cross my mind.I planned on using my spinning rod strictly for worms so I would take it out more. Are you using a MHF in the 7' range? I was going to throw them on my 7'1" MHF jig and pig rod.7.1:1 baitcaster

TW or do you get better deals elsewhere?

Paddle Tails
I really plan to fish the crap out of small plastic swimbaits (3-5")next season. My question is,do you guys prefer to throw your SI Fats and the like on say a 7' MHF or something shorter like a 6'6" M Mod on a weighed swim hook?

Most Productive Baits ~ A Seasonal Review
Try the Bruiser Baits Evil Twin tail on the back of a KVD Rattlin swim jig. That setup gets smashed consistently for me.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Not a huge haul but I just picked up 2 packs of BPS 4.8 Speed shads,a pack of 3.5 Havoc Grass pigs and a pack of 5/0 Owner weighted twistlocks for a whopping 1.80$ after using my reward points!

Damiki hydra
They are way to soft for my liking.I also have never even had a bite on them. They do look really cool though.

Cabelas and BPS merger delayed
I'm pretty sure its staying Cabelas.Doesn't seem cost effective to change 90 stores over to BPS
-
Cabelas and BPS merger delayed
The Fishing section at BPS is better than Cabelas out here imo.Camping and hunting goes to Cabelas.
-
What brand line?
I could have sworn BPS has assassin for 23$ and the sniper for 32.However after rechecking the sniper is 26.So only 3 bucks more.
-
What brand line?
Try the Sunline Assassin. Its like 10 bucks cheaper than Sniper and super strong.Great stuff.
