  1. Lol, that darn Dick's got me the other day too! Went to look around and saw the sign.... Buy 5 get 5 free! Well I couldn't just walk away from it! Bought 15 got 15 free . Bait monkey got me good because I ordered from tackle warehouse this week to!
  2. Never used them on bass but salmon sure love them! They are terrible to cast!
  3. Very good show. I enjoy watching how each of the anglers react to the score tracker! Some handle it very well while other become very irritated. Keith Poche had a great day. Love to fish that kind of tournament. I would be the person that wouldn't handle to score tracker going off constantly! It would stress me out to the max!
  4. Never saw that before. That is awesome!
  5. I have BPS within 45mins of me and a cabelas that is about 2hrs from me. I used to make the trip to cabelas a fair amount. I have noticed that I find less deals there and there normal price is higher BPS in my area. My local BPS is pretty good. I have a gander mtn 10 mins away. It is good for general stuff in a pinch, that's about it. They don't impress me at all. Anymore I just shop online at tackle warehouse! I try to stay away from all of them. I just buy more tackle....My wife is starting to catch on. I caught her counting rods and reels in my man cave the other day. Not good..... Had to try to explain the reason for the 27 rods and reels. I felt that I explained it very well. She apparently didn't understand my logic! At least she didn't look in my tackle drawers!
  6. I have been fishing the susky for 25 years now. Fished it while wading and with friends and family on their boats. Never owned a boat of my own till this year. Well, it took three trips before I hit a rock with my prop! Got a little big for my britches. A jet is the best way to go but I got a great deal on this boat so it is what it is. I can't some places with it but it has a 101lb thrust trolling motor that gets me places I probably shouldn't be. The he river has gone through good and bad stages over the past 25 years. 100 fish days were common when I was younger. Fish were plentiful but lack anything really quality. I don't catch 100 in day anymore but I do catch 20 to 25 fish that are a lot better quality now. it is a great place to fish but hard on your equipment!
  7. I am starting my log this year. Never thought about a fishing log until last year. I have kept a hunting journal since 1998. I don't use my journal to plan my hunting trips but I sure do enjoy reading what I wrote years later! Gotta wonder sometimes what I was thinking when I wrote some of the things in the journal. I plan on using of the examples that were shared on here for my fishing log.
  8. That is such a tough question. Each pro have their own way. The one I would like to spend a day with is KVD. KVD, power fisherman. Expert on graphs. I struggle with off shore confidence. he seems to be one of the best at finding fish off shore. All the while using a power fishing approach. I find it interesting and amazing. For a fun day on the water...... Ike and Gman all the way. It would be a blast with those guys!
  9. Jig head underspin with a green pumpkinseed grub.
  10. I love fishing the morning. Nothing like being on the water when there is no wind and it looks like glass! Watching the sun come up and hearing the fish jump in the early light! I really don't have preference though. Normally I just go out when I have the opportunity no matter if it is mid day. This past year my best days on the water was in the evening. Really got into the smallies this year and the best bite was in the evening.
  11. I mostly spend time in the winter stocking up on tackle and greasing and cleaning all my gear. Do some trout fishing but I am surely not a cold weather fisherman! I do a lot of hunting till the 1st of the year then it is working around the house and watching some of the fishing shows. By the time April roles around I am in craze to get on the water!
