  1. Yeah but I don't have grease and all that, you would think you wouldn't have to do that spending that much money ?, do I have to grease it now?will it hurt to use it? Or should I just take it back, I've took 2 back bc of the geariness and I'm starting to think it's just the reel
  2. Okay, the reel geariness goes away when on a rod and using braid but it's when I gold the reEl in my hand when it does that, could it be possibly when I was spooling it up I didn't thread the line through the first guide on the rod, I hand spooled it and used my hand to guide the line and I accidentally yanked the line one way and I don't know if it put some force on the line guide and the worm gear, and I'm just concerned about the clickingness bc my other curado never did the clicking thing and seemed the knobs were a little easier to spin, all of them have had a little geariness feel but it's not that bad
  3. When I tighten the drag that clicking goes away, and my other curado I had felt the same with the gears I just don't know if I got a bad one like I said, and I don't know if the knobs will loosen up after use
  4. I just got a new curado 200HG and I got a few questions, i have a lews tournament pro g and that is by far the smoothest reel I have felt, this curado I can feel the gears a little, is that normal?that's a dumb question I know but on my lews it's like nonexistent, also when you turn your drag star on the curado all the way down which I do after ever trip, when you spin the handle holding the reel straight does the reel make random clicking sounds? The spool isn't moving when the drag is all the way down so it's not centrifugal breaks, last question, are the knobs on the handles a little harder to spin? They seem to need a little force, as you can see I am new to shimano products and I'm making sure I got a Good one and not a bad one
  5. okay thankyou for the feedback,it seems like it will be a great rod for spinnerbaits basically what it is rated at, being me i would always end up never using a crankbait or spinnerbait on "that" rod and if i did it wouldnt be my main setup, keep in mind im fishing ponds and barely go to lakes aswell, but i havnt really fished with it yet, im just going by what people say at the moment before i decide to take it out,
  6. okay, i felt the medium fast and the handle seemed a little shorter and i couldnt get over that shortness compared to the spinnerbait rod, if it had the longer handle i woulda walked right out with that one
  7. true and thankyou for that, your saying the all purpose one is the 7,1 mhf?
  8. yeah, ive been thinking about that but it should be a little easier with braid since it doesnt stretch and the hooksets shouldnt break my back like mono or flouro would with the stretch, the rod feels nice and lightweight, never felt anything like it before, i havnt felt the fast action one so i dont know
  9. okay thankyou for the info, i was just clarifying that up if i decide to throw on a jig out on the water but i am going to be using braid on it aswelll and use a variety of lures or whatever one i decide
  10. it is becuase of that certain price point but im trying to save myself a trip lol im only 16 and ive taken back one of them already becuase i was unsure of the specs of the rod and i was fine with this rod but now im second guessing myself because of the action.
  11. Okay so I couldn't throw like a 1/2 ounce jig or a 3/4 ounce jig and things like that, is it my best bet taking it back?or keeping it
  12. Okay but this is a moperate fast which is faster than a moderate but less than a fast action, kinda in between, so that's what I'm really confused about
  13. Okay thankyou, I've heard they were stiffer and I want that, I'm just worried about the tip and if that moderate fast will be good enough for about everything, or the fast will be better, I don't want too stiff but I want kinda like a perfect feel
  14. I just purchased a mojo bass 7ft med.heavy moderate fast action and this is the only rod that my local retailer sold that was close to all around and having a handle length I was comfortable with, should this rod I got be good for doing about everything and just as a all around rod? I know gander mountain has a 7,1 med heavy fast and that's the one I originally wanted but my local retailer didn't have that one so I just went with the mod fast but would the mod fast be more versatile? Or should I take it back and get a fast action one.
