if i am fishing in a current i will use just enough weight to get it down. other than that weightless is best for a senko. better twitch response too

First cast = fish; bad luck?
we are all always learning. whoever you can't teach a old dog new tricks has obviously not been bass fishing. just keep at them and learning and figuring out what is going on is the trick.

Table Rock
with table rock being a huge lake you defiantly need to zone it. when i was growing up in blue eye. i had many many days and weeks to map and zone where and when and what to use. i have found that most of the time i was fishing a natural craw jig. fish finder #1 white spinnerbait bouble willow blade siver #2 red or bright green 6- 10 ft crank bait on the fish pumpkin jig with pork natural craw jig no trailer swimbait

small scale jig skirts making
i was informed about lureparts.com. i have been looking and it looks like it can help save a person a few bucks. i went and cleaned out my boxes and found 7 spinner baits skirt-less and 3 jigs. i am thinking about getting some in the winter due to the fact that spinner baits low use. i use jigs during the winter and fall or spring a lot more. i might try using rubber bands.

Shakey-head leader when using braid
if i am fishing in heavy cover i will use just braid. heavy cover such as trees and sumps ill use just braid. if i am on rip rap i will use 12 or 17 lbs floro leader 3 ft in length. if i am in grass ill use a 12 lbs floro or mono, depending on cloudy or bluebird days. mono is better for cloudy days low vis but on a bluebird days i like the floro.

Hello i am james. I am not new to the bass resource page but new as a member. I am always looking to update my tackle and try new tricks. I started fishing around the age of 12 and have been fishing since. I have a stepson as my partner. He is on his way to college soon. So I'll be on the hunt alone.
