Deff depends on where you live....plus : structure,temp,weather,oxygen level,ect...but bass do tend to move deeper and get more aggresive during and after post spawn.

Try workin on setting the hook in different directions..

ok so the northern part... what about if its a reservoir is it the same??

Well basically what you want to do if I were you is take one season at a time, the sun has its pahases as the earth tilts yearly and the moon has its phases weekly. During spring most fish (basically bass) and into the early months of summer, will spawn due to the suns postion...moon phase is when the moon rotates the earth, your looking for a full moon period for some really good bass fishing...it has something to do with the balance of there brain and changes to the surrounding area they will move to. The beginning of the warm days I would look for fish in about 1ft-12ft of water...this is where they look for easy food, and the warmest water in the lake.As summer approaches fish more aggressively meaning take it a step up fish faster but at the same time experiment your speeds. Cloudy days there could be wind and then again it might not be, usually I fish baits that the fish can see reds,gold,orange...etc thats really in my opinon they make all those colors is to fit the situation. Also I would use jerkbaits soft or hard depending on depth. I have had a lot of sucess fishing a carolina-rig with a centipede worm soom makes and othe brands...use a color thats not to dark but not to bright...ex>watermelon color is a pretty good color for many plastic baits. Usually in the hot summer months the bass will def move to deeper structure and when you have cloudy days they make there way lookin for baitfish or other easy food. Before a cold front a lot of fish will eat.eat.eat. But as soon as the cold front hits the fish will fall back into there seasonl patterns depending on how cold it is will affect the depth they will hold in. Warm fronts the fish will become more aggresive. Good luck

Just wondering on how some of you guys catch your bass off of a lake that isn't clear, when they are bedding, what tactic do you use...and what kinda presentation?? ???

If the temp is warm at least 4 days in a row say lower to upper 60's and the water is warming up and some fish have begun to spawn and then a cold front comes through the next night...do the bass stay in there stage or retreat..??

Im 18 bout to turn 19...I prefer to fish the lake on a boat because there a lot of structures out there...also just being out there is a rush. I'l hit the bank up everynow and then...especially a pond.

Bass adapt to all scent they have sensors between their head and nose which triggers a fish to eat or take off incase of preditors...there is deff more to it but thats just what i've read.

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried or done this...a couple of summers ago i was just messing around..i wanted to try sumthing different its not really a common way to catch bass but it worked for me..I trolled a crankbait over many area i thought held bass and I Caught some pretty nice sized bass just wondering if anyone has ever tried it and if they've been sucessful? ???

catch that 10 and u can call it a day then you can go back and catch 1 pounders another....

A pond is diff then a lake im pretty sure that has alot to do with it, it takes no time for a pond to warm up but a lake takes a little longer.

Man a guide can make a lot of side money...and out of that get to fish often i wish to do that after i retire.

If i were you since its a pretty rough current that was passing threw itas deff gonna be muddy fish pockets that are real shallow find a rocky bottom to the northside should be warmer then the main part of this river...fish as shallow as possible look for baitfish...not much help good luck...also the bass are prob gonna be faced in the opposite direction of the current so try and find a bend

crappie, catfish,suckerfish which is a type of shad ... and a duck man that duck got a hook in its leg and took abt 100 yrd off my rod lol

use a jerbait like a fluke
