Top 10 Basitcasting Reels For The Money?
You can't beat the Diawa Zillion Reels for about any price. I use the two 100sha and two 50th aniversery zillions 90% of the time and they are the cheapest reels I own. They take a beating and have never given me a single problem (17lb-20lb line and in heavy cover). My reel sponsor has worked on every reel I own but the Zillions.

Ever have another boater jump right in front of your next spot?
That happens to everyone once in a while. I refuse to let it tax my mind and put me in a bad mood because I love my time on the water. I will just turn up the stereo real loud fire up the boat and throw a wake at them you could surf on I have faith enough in myself to believe when they leave I can come back and get the one I was after anyway. Best Wishes but don't let it ruin your good time.

Thanks All Those are from John's Lake. I have caught 17 bass over 10lbs there so far this year. I have been absent from the forum for a while doing other things but LBH, RoadWarrior, and the older crew will tell you I do pretty well with big bass. Yes I do release them all in hopes that our grandchildren will have some to enjoy as much as we do. Here are some older threads with a few on them (you could find tons more if you searched). http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1176924702/0 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1181069190 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1181928758 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1179891298 Tight Lines and God Bless

My son's biggest bass yet!
You are one of the #1 Dads and as the post above stated it is "Priceless" to get children involved. I take out kids from the Make A Wish foundation when asked and those are the most enjoyable times I have ever had on the water.

It's been a while since I've had time to get on here, but I hope everyone has been doing great. Central Florida is as always the Greatest place to fish for Big bass. Some bass are getting ready for another spawn and some are still recuperating from the last one. I may post more pics from earlier in the year but here are a couple from windy Wednesday. God Bless

What's the strangest thing you've caught on the end of your line?
A couple of weeks ago I was fishing with forum member "Timistall" and I caught a 1 1/2" long Striped Bass fingerling on a 6" Senko with a 5.0 hook and 17lb test line. This fish was released alive Here is how we came up with how it happened: I got a hit from a decent size bass and when I set the hook it slipped and hooked the fingerling that the bass was feeding on in the side. Other than that there is no explanation (typing while humming the theme to "The Outer Limits").

What are the top 3 lakes in each state (AL, GA, FL)?
It seems to me that Florida needs to produce its first 20 before talk of a new World Record is plausable. 17.27 lbs is a fine fish, but not really "in the hunt". http://www.floridafishinglakes.net/floridafishingspecies.html 8-) I have personally seen one caught larger than 17.27 (it weighed 16.15 after laying in the bottom of the boat in the sun for 6+ hours). My favorite lake is John's Lake, but it's not one of the top FL lakes. RW - just remember about what I predicted The West Coast produces a "few" nice fish but I didn't see any one of them guys boat 35 bass over 8.5 lbs or 18 over 10 lbs like I did between April & September of last year (most pictured aound here in different places). We have a lot more big fish than anywhere else and I know a lot of people here local that caught more than I did last year. So somebody will hit a record fish here soon
