  1. Well guys, it was a rough weekend for 4 rednecks that came to the bend in hopes of catching a fish. It was our first time there, had no clue where to go or what to do. It was way different from fishing our river back home. Needless to say, we fished San Miguel Thursday evening, Cypress Bend Friday morning, and san Miguel again Friday evening, producing 1 bass. We left the bend a day early because we were so frustrated. However, I am not bashing the Bend because it was a great experience. The next time I come, I will pay money for a guide service just to see how its done. We even stopped at Cotille Lake on the way home for 5 hours, still no fish. Just a bad weekend all around but hey it happens sometimes.
  2. Oh nice. Ok. What was yall catching on?
  3. I'm going to Bass Pro today to stock up on lures for my trip next weekend. Can yall say some of the best lures to bring for this time of year and maybe post a picture? And is there pretty good fishing around San Miguel or do we have to travel pretty far each morning before we start fishing? Weve just never been so there is a lot of unknowns for us?
  4. Catt, we're staying at San Miguel Cabins.
  5. Thanks Catt. I will definitely give it a try. My mom won a 2 free night stay at Toledo bend at a conference last week in lake Charles. So me and my dad kinda stole it from her and are using it next weekend. lol
  6. Thanks A5BLASTER. This will be our first trip and we are just unsure of the lures and location. Should we stay in shallow water?
  7. We are coming to Toledo Bend next weekend on the 31st for Largemouth. Where we live, we fish the Bogue Chitto River everyday. I love buzz baits. Are these any good this time of year at TB? If not, what do I need to use?
  8. Ok will do. Thanks
  9. My dad and I will be making a trip to Toledo Bend the weekend of March 31st through April 2nd 2017 in search of the largemouth bass. WE have never been before and any tips or advice on location or baits would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
