Hey Guys, So I'm getting serious about bass fishing this year. Got a new boat, new fish finder, a bunch of new rods & tackle, and been reading a tremendous amount. Last year before I get real serious, I started throwing Alabama rigs and lost a few. I've replaced them, and about to start throwing even more expensive tackle. So far, the heaviest line I use is 30lb braid. Probably going to get into using 50-65lb braid with a leader too. So my question is what reel has the power to pull a snagged lure out from being hung up? I'm thinking I need a set up just to get my snagged lures kinda like the one in the picture. Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated! Thank you!

Yep, I've caught some big one's on worms. Biggest on a Culprit 12" Curley tail. Next on a Target Live Lure Mouse "suppose to be a top water" with weights and treble hooks. But if I want to eat and catch fish, Senko is my go too!

What is the difference? Just learned sv stands for SideVü and cv stands for ClearVü. But what does Chirp mean vs plus? This is so confusing!!! Also, for $1,000 what's the best I can get? Thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving Friends! I bought a used War Eagle 648ldv yesterday. My boat looks just like the one in the picture but with camo. In the picture, I've marked in red that looks like great storage spots but the are sealed. Is that because those areas are filled with foam? Any ideas to create storage spots out of these two areas? Just curious if anyone has bought from http://stores.ebay.com/TCI-Fishing-Lures?_rdc=1 and their experience? Seems like really god prices on Weighted Hooks With Hitching Posts Sizes 2/0 - 6/0. He states "I will custom make anything I can, so even if you don't see it in my store, feel free to ask me about it and I will see what I can do. Almost every mold I have has been modified to accept the widest range of hook sizes that it can. Even if you simply want a specific hook and you don't see it, feel free to ask me about it and I will see what I can do." Anybody have a better hook builder?

I have a Heavy Medium Bionic Blade spinning rod and have no complaints. But it's my least favorite rod. Because of Abu Garcia's easy warranty policy, I would go in that direction. Matter of fact, I'm converting all my rods to Abu.

Anywhere and no where in particular. Just haven't ever been much a fall fisherman but I am going to do a lot more this year and so I was just seeing what everyone else was doing.

Hey Guys, From what I understand, Bass are more shallow and feasting for the winter. Conditions are different every time. But what's your go to bait to throw if you have one for the fall for first casts?

I haven't ever used any of these, but I'm famous around here for catching a 10+ on a Live Lure Mouse Hollow Body. I just threw on two treble hooks and bullet weight to make it go under water. Fished it like an up and down roller coaster in the deeper water of the pond. Cheaper and less rod strength needed.

These are better than any sunglasses for seeing bass! No fish finder needed with these because u can see em a mile a way! My first joke on BR!

I don't understand why you would let him reel it in? Laughing, because of witnessed a very similar situation. But my thoughts are he caught the fish. He landed it. His fishing hole. And I don't care about the fame. My 2 personal bests, I don't even have pictures of but it was fun catching them.

Mine is my favorite! And my window snapped the tip just three days ago. $9.95 and Abu is sending me a brand new one. $4.70, I fixed the broken one. Great rod and company.

Hey Guys! I appreciate all the comments and gestures! So, I had some great advice from this thread and took em up on it. 1st. I contacted Abu Garcia and it's under warranty. For $9.95, they are shipping me another. 2nd. And oddly enough, Abu did not want my rod back. They were easy to deal with and I only took pictures, two emails, and two phone calls. But since they didn't want the rod back, I've already had the broken one fixed today for $4.70 at the local shop. Last night, bummed big time! Today adding a brand new fav to my collection for $9.95 and fixing my other for $4.70 "just 3" shorter", I'm ecstatic! Thanks for all the help!

Looks like I get to keep this rod and fix it, plus a brand new one! Broken rod for sale!!!!
