  1. Thanks Fishballer06! So you were right and they just emailed me the process. Thank you for contacting Abu regarding your damaged rod. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We do not repair or have replacement parts for rods; however we will be glad to assist you in the warranty process. To move forward with the warranty process, simply respond to this email and provide the following information/documentation: Daytime telephone number Physical address (unable to ship to PO Box) Copy of original receipt or proof of purchase (if not available let us when purchased) 3 Pictures A clear picture of the damaged area/part A clear picture of the model number (just above the handle) A clear picture showing the date code on the rod (if available example 02C12CM) A brief description of the damage/issue and how it occurred Once we receive the above information, we would process your claim for warranty replacement consideration. To replace a rod under warranty we do request a $9.95 (US) $10.55 (CAN) processing fee. If the rod is not under warranty will be able to offer you a substantial discount towards the purchase of a new rod. 2. Great Advice and thank you TnRiver46!
  3. Happen yesterday, no. All that can be done is a new rod tip right? Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0
  4. Defiantly not your line. Suggestion was from a recent trip to clear water and I have braid.
  5. Dink, it could be as simple as your line.
  6. Thank you geo g and bobp. So I bought the abu pro max combo today. I understand the drag system but what's with the two dial systems on the new reel? One on the right, one one the left. I think they both have to do with tension vs back lashing but the 5000 only has the dial on the right for that.
  7. Hey everyone! I grew up throwing spinning reels and only have one baitcast which is the 5000. I'm going on a 3 day fishing trip and gona buy another rod and reel. I'm tempted to get a baitcaster like http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/mobile/Abu-Garcia-Revo®-X-Low-Profile-Baitcast-Combo/productDetail/Bait-Casting-Combos/prod99999055115/cat101045and I wonder how different it will cast versus the 5000? Any thoughts?
  8. hey guys, just got this today and trying to figure out what it is other than a boat or a starcraft. Year? Model? Thanks for any help!
  9. Just bought today for $100. I'm stoked to fish it!!!!
  10. Tom, ok so you don't understand my thought. It's not about crayfish. DO you hunt? Ever added an apple tree to the property you hunt? Imagine if everyone did something on a determined holiday for bass to give back to the environment
  11. why not just buy a rod? don't understand the custom
  12. Thanks for your comment Tom. Tom, did it sound like a pond, public, or a holiday to give back to Bass? I'm not going to contact anybody if I want to throw a loaf of bread once a year in the water. Feed fish and they grow brother! You have to know that with a pb 15lbs.
  13. Prawn is good too! It's about giving them more food to eat and help them grow. And if whatever it is, can establish it's self, starts to create, flourish's, and provides future food is even better for the big bass!
  14. Hey guys.... How many people would be happy for a holiday to give back to the large mouth bass? I propose everyone putting 50 lbs of crawfish in the waters to help them grow.
  15. Good question but no...... I'm saying that people sometimes get more into their tackle than into fishing where the big fish are or even any fish are. For example, I'd rather hunt a trophy managed place than a anything goes kinda place despite the rifle. So I'm suggesting help make fish grow! I'd like to start a holiday where everyone goes out and buys 50 lbs of crawfish and feeds the bass and help em grow! Anybody interested?
  16. Hey guys, Just gotten back into fishing recently, and I have upgraded all my gear. Super excited about the Alabama rigs! But my best advice is: fish where in areas where the size fish you want to catch are. The amount of sized fish you wanta catch being in the waters you fish, are more important to me than what's in my tackle box. Trophy manage your ponds before you trophy manage your tackle box is my advise
  17. shimmy & WRB, you guys were right 100%! The Keitech Easy Shiner solved my problems on the Alabama rig! Beautiful!
  18. Thanks Roger! Action is very important!
  19. Yes, please if you fish em
  20. Rolo, Me too on a Alabama Rig! You got a bait name?
  21. is a money minnow a good one?
  22. Thanks Croakhunter and Shimmy. What are your recommendations on another plastic for an Alabama rig? Do you think it's possible that Money Minnows swim better on weighted weedless hooks than Jig heads on an Alabama rig? I'm just starting to throw an Umbrella rig.
