  1. Thank you for the advice. Blew my budget and purchased a 99 Skeeter zx202c. Motor and transom check out. And a boat I can grow with. Pay now and fish happy, or pay later and watch from the shore. Choice was easy.
  2. Again thanks for all of the advice. And so much for a budget and weight issues. Just agreed to purchase a 1999 Skeeter Z202. A lot of boat, but I can grow into it. Arrives in 2 weeks. Will post pics once it is here.
  3. Thank you all for the great advice. I have hired a guide for the Delta and really fell in love. Such a great body of water for bass. Will likely do it again soon. My dream boat is a mid 90s Skeeter or 89+ Ranger. Crossing my fingers to find a deal like NorCalBassin's friend. Think I will hold out until I find one that works.
  4. It does get rough, but I would avoid questionable weather given my inexperience.
  5. Also wanted to mention that I am considering an older Skeeter. One is s little over 15 ft. Is this too small for the Delta? In advance, thanks for your thoughts.
  6. Hello. In search of a bass boat with wife capped budget of 6k. Really want to learn to fish the Delta. Any advice on what to look for in a boat or must have features for this water? This is my first boat, so new to everything. Thanks
  7. Thank you everyone. Great information in the article. I had read it last week, as I found it attached to another thread. Really great detail. One other consideration is that boat and trailer needs to weigh about 1500 lbs due to SUV limitation. This is why I am sticking with slightly smaller boat.
  8. Hello. New to forum, great community. In the market for my first bass boat with a small budget of 5k. Right now, I am considering a 80s Skeeter Strada F80 or late 80s Ranger 320v. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these. I don't mind putting a little into the boat, but want to avoid a money trap. Thanks for reading.
