This is my first day on this site. I have really noticed how many guests look in!!! I think all bass fisherman should register!!! Please do this is fun and I have already learned allot!! ;D

> The last tournament of the year where I work was at Hardy Lake " this lake is located in southern indiana and is less than 900 acres" Me and my partner started of strong with three keepers in the first two hours. We decided to move from the grass bed we were fishing to a point with a small creek that runs by it. We had caught several nice fish in this spot and we wanted to have a couple kicker fish. These tournaments have a five fish limit. We didn't catch one fish in this spot. We decided to move back to the grass bed with one hour of fish time left caught one more keeper ten minutes before the weigh-in. We came in second place. I think that if we would have stayed at the grass bed we would have won!! Other team had four fish also beat us by 12 oz. That hurt but I guess I really can't complain about coming in second place I've done a lot worse!!

8)I currently make my own Jigs, and spinnerbaits. I sell them to the guys I work with and the guys I fish with at tournaments etc... It's a great feeling when you catch a fish on something you made yourself. Its also fun to hear stories from your fishin buddies on how well they did using the baits you made for them. It just started out as tinkering for me. Then I made a couple spinnerbaits. I bought the lead in bulk made my own wires using five star wire bound note books. "took the wire out of the book" and used quality Owner hooks. I took my first couple out on a pre-fishing trip to Patoka lake. "lake is located in southern Indiana" I had one tied on my spinnerbait rod 3/8 oz with on #4 willow leaf blade and two #2.5 willow leaf blades in early June. My partner made fun of me because I had not even painted the head of the bait and the skirt was plan white, But by the end of the day he had asked me to make him one. I did and the word spread. I now sell them for $4.00 a pop. Jigs are $3.50 by the way I now paint the heads and have an assortment of colors. I don't sell many maybe 35 spinnerbaits and 20 jigs a year but it is a fun hobby. I actually one the buddy tournament I was pre-fishing for we caught three of our seven keepers on the Spinnerbaits I had made. If you want to try one of my baits let me know I'll ship free of charge. :'(Exactly if the boss would let me I would but a brand new Ranger 520 VX with a Mercury optimax 225!!! But the boss says I can't buy a boat that costs half as much as our house!!!

:'( Nope I currently have a BassTracker 3 a 1983 model with a 40 hp Mercury. I like the boat but it is time to step up to a 18'-19' fiberglass model. Since Trcker doesn't make a fiberglass boat I'd buy a different make. Nitro on the other hand is part on the Tracker brand and This is one of my favorite rigs??? So if you consider Nitro and Tracker the same I guess I'd buy the same brand. Hope I didn't confuse you!! Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151

8)I made a bait that I use just for fishing this stuff. I took a one oz jig an made a cork cover for the head. The bait is heavy enough to penetrate this stuff and the cork allows it to have a slower rate of fall. Use a heavy action rod and big line to jerk the fish out of this stuff!! ;D I caught a wall hanger this year!!!!!!!!!!!! I made a trip to Texas, went to Sam Rayburn and on my first day 3/16/04 I caught that fish of a life time. 12lbs 6oz!!! I didn't have a guide and it was the very first time I had been out on this lake. I caught it within 100 yards of the boat ramp on a rip rap bank. I can't remeber the name of the ramp but I caught the fish on a 7" powerbait tournament strenght worm, pumpkinseed color with a 1/8 oz brass sinker on 17lb test Trilene XT green line. ;DTook a couple pics and put that big ole pot bellied hog back in the lake!! :)Stayed three more days caught a lot of fish but none of the others weighed over 4lbs. :-/ Hello everyone I am planning on buying a nice used bass boat this spring and would like some quality advice from other avid bass fishermen or fisherwomen. I would like to get a 18' - 19' fiberglass bass boat. With atleast a 150hp. My problem is I can only afford $12,000.00 So used is my option any feed back would be greatly appreciated!! 8)ZUP I am from North Vernon IN. My pasion is bass fishing. I have been a B.A.S.S. life member since 2001. I am looking at buying a newer boat this spring. I love to fish and am glad I found this site. This is my first time but expect to see me around often.
