can someone tell me what makes the calcutta a better reel than the cardiff? can you also tell me what makes it cost more? i have a cardiff 100A and love it. i'm going to get another one. i thought if i like this cardiff so much i might really like the calcutta. have any of you guys owned both models? and is the calcutta so much better?

it came with a skimmer transducer. can you use that same mount to mount it to the trolling motor. it looks like you can. maybe just bend the mount a little. or do i have to get a totally different transducer?

timmy, i guess they're special i told the guy at carquest what i wanted and he pulled out a book(same book he ordered my water pump out of) showed me a picture of 'em. they come 2 in a pack. few bucks i think.

on the power pro. i was half way thru filling my reel with it and noticed something funny about the color of the line. so pulled some back off and looked it. it was coming apart. i put just a little bit of pressure on it and it just pulled right apart. so i pulled all that off and was able to fill the reel with what was left. this is what i meant when i sayed i wasn't so sure about this braid stuff. but i'm not going to knock it yet maybe i just got a bad spool. i will give it a fair try. thanks again for all the suggestions.

can someone explain how to change the lower unit lubricant. i have a 1986 150 mercury i'm having a friend(that knows what he's doing) help me. but i was wanting to get an idea of whats going on before we do this.

i've tried 4/0 and 5/0 ewg gammy hooks. line size is 12# big game rod is g loomis mbr784 imx

i went fishing yesterday and today at a small pond next to my house. 4 out of 5 fish missed. the first one was my fault. my reels had been put up for awhile and the drag was let off. i guess you know what happened on that hook set. the fish still held that thing in its mouth though. i got him almost to the bank and he just let go. the very next cast to the same spot another one grabbed it. i let it swim around with it for a second then set the hook fought it nearly to bank then it let go. few more cast later same thing. then another one piked it up. i let it eat it good then set the hook really hard. i got that one. but was barely hooked. went back today and hooked another one. i let him eat it good and set the hook hard. fought it for a second then it let go. 1 out of 5 fish ain't good. i rigged it texas style up side down on a 4/0 ewg gama hook. i barely had the point under the skin. today i tryed a 5/0 hook, no better. anybody got suggestions on this. maybe a picture of how you rig yours.

i'm trying to decide which of these to get. lowrance x96, x125, or eagle fishmark 480. i gave up on trying to find a small one for the bow that would fit in the factory hole. can anyone give me advice or suggestions on where & how to mount one of these on the bow. I would like to see pics of where yours is mounted. how well do you like it mounted there? does it ever get in the way? it really pains me to have to drill holes in the deck of my boat but i guess thats the only way huh.

i've got a david fritts reel. i used it alot last year and really like it. thinking about getting another.

i wouldn't want to go across a rough lake in one of those things.

i've had one for about 7 months. i really like it cast great, smooth, and is comfortable in my hand. i recommend it.

is quadrabeam all its cracked up to be? i'm trying to decide what fishfinder to get. higher pixel count? color screen? i don't need one with gps i allready have a lawrance ifinder h20c. i don't really know much about depthfinders so trying to pick one is kinda hard. can you guys tell me what i should look for? i 've been looking at the lawrance and humminbird models. but have no idea what to get. i'm trying to stay somewhere around $300. oh yeah its for the bow and would like to be able to put the transducer on my trolling motor. does this have a factor in my decision?

i was thinking maybe next time i'll just mix enough to do 2 or 3 then mix some more and so on. those that i did get to do turned out really good. going to go ahead and do the new ones i got also. those stanley spinnerbaits don't hold there paint well at all. maybe this will help. do yall think so? oh yeah after i ruined that batch i went back to walmart to get some more. they didn't have anymore. oh well thats my luck guess i'll have to wait and try again later. thanks for your help all.
