  1. get a real boat 16' with a decent motor and fish hemlock and Candice with your kayak. that way you can add conesus, keuka, cayuga and more.
  2. the garmin 93 sv transducer is giant... anything with side imaging im going to guess is going to have a big transducer. i love my 93 but that make not fit where you want.
  3. I almost always fish is long sleeve sun shirts, with a hat, sun glasses and a lot of times I'll have a mask but just to cover my neck. I make real effort to not get burned.
  4. you do not need a leader for small mouth. use good line, a good knot and re tie often. Yes you will lose lures to pike. Fish on their bed are not normally eating the are focused on breeding and protecting the bed. You need to trigger a strike from something they see as a intruder. they probably will not chase anything that is not directly in their bed. I like a drop shot so you can put it right in the bed and keep it there. you can use a wacky rigged sanko on a drop shot if that is what you like. The fish will often leave the bed then come back and hit the bait. even if your boat is within a few feet. If your going to bed fish be very careful with the fish and return them asap.
  5. Smallmouth are hitting good on Oneita!
  6. I'm in Rochester. I always have a spot in my boat for another guy. I fish mostly weekdays. My boat will be ready next week.
  7. I have a bass boat, both those are no goes. I know everyone says keuka and conesus are good but I seem to struggle. what technique do you recommend?
