  1. "The harder I press the righter I go!" Were getting a new one. This one was all beat up and obviously used. The new new one should be in wendesday
  2. Thanks for the replies. Ive yet to get any tubes but I did get a combination of them and my biggest confidence area. I got someof the big kicker craws, theyre solid but have pincers and the tube skirt. I believe they are just over 4 inches and they are black/red flake. I already have some smaller ones in watermelon seed that work really well.
  3. Ok. I got the Motorguide Bulldog and a jon boat attachment thing Burley sent me a link for(thanks ). Ill tell you how it works later.
  4. Im low budget and Im ghetto... Priceless ;D ;D ;D
  5. Im looking forward to it.
  6. Id like to get my grandpa to look at it befor I get a different one but I think he will be alright with whatever I bring in.
  7. Im thinking about trading it tomorrow. Im going to Ashville NC to look at kayaks so I could probably stop going up or down. I will probably get that Bulldawg thing. Ill check BPS and see what kind of transom foot controlls they have.
  8. I dont even know what isolator bolts are lol. If I wasnt in abingdon without the boat I would bring by.
  9. Im thinking about trading it but I have seen a few on here with them though. I just need to know what they did with theirs. Its already decked, too.
  10. I got a Minn Kota EDGE today at BPS. Its the 40# with a 45 inch shaft. Anybody know about it? It has decent reviews in BPS. Also how do I put this thing on my jon boat?
  11. Mines kind of weird but I like it. I have a TON of plastics but I dont use half of them them so I put them in an extra BASS bag in their original pack or in sandwich bags and leave them at home. The other half is divided into four boxes: favorite senko type, favorite craw/creatures, favorite finnesse/flukes, and favorite floating. Then the other ones I like go in another BASS bag that I keep on the boat. Soft swimbaits dont count they go in a hard box in my tackle bag.
  12. I use two. #1 is a viento spooled with 15# flouro on a 7'0" Daiwa S Rod, I use it for deeper jigging on points and other sparse cover. #2 is a fuego on a 6'9" carrot with 30# Power Pro. Ive not used it much yet but it does well with lighter jigs in shallow, dense cover.Sometimes it doubles as my small swimbait setup, too. I fish Strike King jigs almost exclusively any time of the year. The weight varies with the average depth of the lake Im fishing in.
  13. I keep all of my hardbaits, hooks, and sinkers in mine, excluding spinners(ive got two boxes for them). It probably weighs around 30lbs. My plastics weight about half that after I downsized but I leave them in the boat storage. I used to have 3 bags but now Ive got one bass bag and 4 360 boxes with my favorite baits in them. The bags are the BASS bags you can get with a subscription. Theyre really handy.
  14. If I knew where its at Id tell you but it says that it wont work on metal. I was thinking on using gorrila glue or something just to finish the edges. We let the carpet hang down a little so if we want to set on the edge of a deck the hot alluminum wont burn the backs of our legs. Were taking it out again tomorrow after we did some mods. And we got a freaken big battery 8-)
  15. I gues im lucky. My mom pays $120 to the neighboorhood thing and it covers lawn, power possibly,Il have to ask, and water. Home gas stuff is all we have to pay for and we have to do some house repairs.
  16. Thanks for all the comments. We took her out yesterday rondef, it did really well. 70gamefisher, I dont know if you meant the wood around it or the actual pump part. I already put how we did the deck and the pump is just a fishsaver thing I got at wallmart for $28. Its pretty straight forward haw to install it.
  17. How do you guys mount foot controlled TMs to your jons? I saw some pics earlier but I cant find them now.
  18. Who knows. I think it was Donna from Parks & Recs that said it. They may not have publicized it to avoid drawing attention to the need for more fish since so many got lost.
  19. My grandpa heard they stocked some bass but he could have heard wrong. I know we caught a ton of foot long fish shortly after that rumor. I also heard they put catfish in there.
  20. We made the deck go over the hump thing rather than level with it. Then we took a jigsaw and cut out the squares for the livewell and the storage compartment. The glue doesnt work on metal or we would have stuck it down a little differently.
  21. Yeah. Weve got one on the back already but we need a new battery more than a motor. Our old battery has seen around 5 or 6 years of hard fishing and its going down.
  22. We always have a great time, catching an ol bass just makes it better
  23. *@)#(%& rednecks got in there when there was only 30 million gallons in it three years ago and screwed it up >. Ive never seen anyone keep anything or anyone catch much but Im sure they do. Thats probably why the old lake isnt as good as it used to be. I think the grass is coming back though.
  24. My grandpa and I got our new boat ready yesterday and took her out today. It was really good. The stability was great and our little motor moved us well enough. We put 3/4 inch ply on the fron and back and 3/8 in the middle with 5 braces holding it up. Im not sure what the carpet is but I never had a hook get caught up in it. Here are the pics:
