St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
What about flipping in clear water? I have always used a leader unless there's less than 5 in of visibility. Even if 75% of the time they hit it on the fall and don't look at it, but when you have to hop or drag I feel it definitely helps. To everyone else, I think the final verdict (if I pay full price) is a Powell endurance. Unless there's a deal between now and probably January, Ill probably get the endurance. It seems most prefer it. I like the Mojo and think its nice but from what people are saying the endurance seems lighter and overall great. I still might get the Mojo. Idk. I might end up getting a lews pro G since there on sale on a super secret website. (Whatever I get, Ill let everyone know how I like it and its durability.) One final question (probably not) Which model of the endurance should I get? I will be fishing laydowns, docks, moderate grass, light reeds, and some rock. But, I want a rod under 7'8. If you can help, thank you. Thank you all and have a nice whatever

St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Yeah, idk honestly I think I've changed my mind a lot on this the past few days. The mojos are nice and I like them, but these Duckett rods are super light. It seems everyone on this post would prefer the endurance, so I think that is what I will try. Idk, I guess I just never saw the necessity for braid under 35lb because I don't live in the south where there is super thick stuff. I guess Ill be trying some 40lb braid now that I think I should. Thank you guys once again and I think this will be last post on this topic unless others respond. P.S. But you dodged my question, is there a noticeable problem with line stacking or leader troubles with the t-wing? (as there are several reviews online stating this problem)

St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Thank you once again! I just got in two Duckett rods I ordered a while ago and they are my first Duckett's. The Terex is the lightest rod I've ever held for $130. I would get the micro magic instead of these two but they don't have the best reviews. I'm actually thinking of trying the endurance now. If I have to get my flipping rod at retail $, I think Ill get a endurance. But if warranties only cover defects and rods with defects usually break in less than six months, why would the mojo have a 5 year warranty? What model of the endurance should I get for my situation above? I was thinking the 7'6 but the handles seem too short. Also, is the Duckett micro magic any good? And finally, what reel should I get? I really only got serious into bass fishing two years ago and have been using different brands and mismatched stuff (as you can tell). Just throw anything at me. Price range is less than $160. P.s. I will probably be using 25-30lb braid so Idk about the tatulas. From what I've read, the t-wing doesn't work well with light braid or leaders. Thx and have a nice day/night idk, the mojo looks pretty slick aswell

St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
I am sorry If I'm bugging out but I thought if you broke the rod accidently you could still get a replacement? I'm probably wrong. I would primarily be using 1/2 jigs and t rigs around laydowns, some moderate grass, spatterdock, and lighter lily pads. I just don't want to go too long because I might be using it out of a kayak time to time and I really don't want a 8 foot rod for my situation. I just saw the 7'6 model of the mojo as a self proclaimed "flipping rod" when it seems a little light to me. The 7'4 rod is stated to be for frogs but looking at reviews on tw most guys said they used the 7'4 for flipping. That's why I was curious about the two different models. I might still try the powell but the mojo has 4 more years for the warranty than the endurances 1 year. I don't know, but maybe you could help me with my situation above. Thx again and have a nice night P.s. Which would you personally prefer? (as you didn't say above). I know only I can make the decision which is better for myself but based from the St. Croix's in the price range you have which would you take the endurance or the Croix(s)?

St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Yeah they do both seem pretty nice and have good reviews. My gripe with the endurance is that to me the warranty doesn't seem very good. With the mojo I would just have to pay to get it shipped to them for warranty which would be $60 less than the endurance. From looking at powells website it is also only a year long warranty. The mojos is 5. I think I'm teetering pretty heavy towards the mojo. I probably will try powell as my next rod, probably a inferno. I don't know, its still up to debate in my head. Thanks for the info and advice you 2. Heres another question, on the mojo which would be a better flipping stick, the 7'4 or the 7'6? Is the 7'6 a noodle or a proper flipping stick? p.s. I will let you guys know my decision, and might have to ask about another tie breaker when I get my rod of choice (reel). Thx again and have a nice night

Thank you for the input. I checked out those reviews and they are a bit outdated as the rods have been updated since 2010-2011, I believe. Thank you anyway though, have a nice day!

St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Looking to get a new flipping stick at most 7'7 and tied between these 2. Leaning towards mojo because my Dads seems pretty decent and it has a good warranty and seems like a good rod overall. But then there's the endurance, which has no warranty but seems very light and nice from what I've read. I also am curious if the mojos 7'6 model is a good flipping stick or if the 7'4 would be better. Any insight would be nice or a tie breaker, thx and have a nice day.

Maryland's Who's who!
Hello, I live in Cecil county and mostly fish private ponds, streams, and the upper bay and Conowingo now I have a bass boat. I am kinda new to the forums, not really. I mainly just look at what people have said and it usually gives me my answer to whatever I'm stressing over. My dad was saying to mes last week we could hook up with a guy he works with next year on a float trip on the Octorara creek where he supposedly caught some footballs on whopper ploppers and senkos. My dad said we would definitely go with him. Now, most of you guys seem west of Baltimore so sorry if this is a waste of your time. If not and you know the given stream, you know how I kinda find this hard to believe. Now, the Octorara is connected to arguably the best river in the mid-Atlantic for smallies, (the susky), and they could go up in there from the main river, but this isn't a small or big creek. Kinda mostly 3 feet deep in my experience and 45-65 feet across. Now I have only fished there once (in winter) so I guess I wouldn't know but if anyone has info, let me know. Thank you guys and tight lines (yes this is a essay, I already know)

Small, scenic smallie rivers in ny (help)
Hello everybody! I am thinking of going to the mountains of NY for the first time ever to fish (hopefully) some small, scenic river smallies. I'm from MD. Any area or river recommendations would be helpful (preferably scenic). Anything can help. I'm thinking of just going to lake Lila or the black or Grasse rivers since they are the only things I have seen that would appear to be good for kayak, bass fishing in the wilderness without the worry of motor boats. Kayakable rivers (should have mentioned that) , any help is appreciated. Thanks and have a nice day!

Mud river West Virginia
Hello, I'm from Maryland and this fall Ill be going down to my uncles house near Milton, WV. The mud river runs through the end of his property. I fished there last fall for half an hour catching a few small scrappy spots and sunfish on a micro squarebill. The water was very low, but clear. Ill spend more time fishing and wading down there this fall. Is there any sizeable fish in there and should I use my regular bass gear? Any help is appreciated, Thanks and have a nice day! Ps. (yes I have fished the upper mud lake and yes I know that there are musky and that therye an option)

Sassfras river question, Md
Thanks for the info man! (Really appreciate it), I've heard many good things about the sass and its my first time really trying it. All the marinas and private docks look really fishy though and Ill be surprised if I get skunked on Sat. Ill be trying jigs and squarebills like you said. Its supposed to be in the 70s all morning, cloudy, and a full moon this weekend so I should hammer' em. Topwaters should be good, hopefully. Hope you did good today dude. Thanks again and bend them rods!
