I do not have a bass pro near me or know anyone with there brand rods so I won't get my hands on them☹ and I am looking for a all around MHF rod. What i want to know is your thoughts and comparisons on the pro qualifier 2 and the carbonlite 2.0 I have also thought about dobyns fury

I have the tournament zx 6.9ft medium fast action( top water/jerk bait ) rod and have used it a few times with bigger baits and it did just fine. the only problem I have with the rod is that the guides seems to be a bit on the cheap side and could bend easily and while I was at Cabelas I have seen a few with missing guide inserts.

I have only been bass fishing for a few years and this year the plan is to use and learn different baits through out the seasons. I have a 7ft medium fast action rod and I am planning on buying a casitas for it but what gear ratio ( 6:3:1 or 7:2:1)? and also I am going to buy a MH rod but not sure on what action to go with or what gear ratio for a reel. So what would you recommend? Ps I do have spinning gear for finesse stuff
