  1. Up here for the last 10 days or so. COVID quarantine. Been working so I haven’t been able to fish much but I have been out every evening. I’ve caught some good fish on XD6 and a War Eagle spoon. Spoon has been really good at attracting bites. Long casts along ridges and stroking it back to the boat. You will get hung up and fish will throw the bait but it does get bit (especially when the sun is out). I’ve been throwing the larger size (7/8) but the smaller one (1/2) might be even better. Fun fishing too, because it will attract all species. I’ve found a lot of bar fish around the schools of larger blacks. If you throw the crank bait, I’d recommend shad or bar fish colors. I’m fishing near 6 mile. Water is very clear. Good luck.
  2. Just back from a short trip to the lake. More time working at the camp than fishing but got out a little. Some good schooling action early AM (5:30 to 7:00) with blacks up to 3lbs. I found a ton of offshore fish but all spotted rats. Saturday AM - on a whim - I fished some submerged hay grass and caught several 2-3 lbs blacks in Six Mile. Chatter bait. Swim bait on underspin. Swim Jig. Forgot how much fun it is to fight a 2 lb fish through grass. Fun trip. Lake is fishing good right now.
  3. Nice fish Bass_Fanatic. I’ve spent the week up here - Six Mile, Hickory Ridge and Mill Creek. I found a large number of small fish (mostly spots) offshore but could not find a consistent pattern for a shallow bite. With that said, the shallow fish that I did locate were good ones. My bites came on a 4.8 inch Keitech (Sight Flash which is white/silver) fished on a 5/0 Owner Flashy underspin. The bite was very subtle which resulted in a couple of missed fish too. Interesting that I didn’t get a bite on the swim bait that was less than 2 lbs and I didn’t get any bites in the back half of any coves. It it should be even better next week. Good luck to everyone.
  4. Good thing. That are is completely void of fish. ?
