Ike Delay 6'4" Jerkbait Rod
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm new to crankbait and jerkbait fishing and am still trying to figure out what I like. I come from a background of mostly using plastics and some finesse techniques. The rod I bought is the ***, by "***". Seriously though, why are those words marked out?

Ike Delay 6'4" Jerkbait Rod
Well thanks for the help everyone, I walked into academy to check out some leads and walked out with the *** *** in 6'7". It's longer than I had wanted initially and in a fast action but it was too sweet to pass up. So I will see how it works for me as a jerk/spook/popper/squarebill rod. For some reason the brand and model of the rod I purchased have been replaced with asterisks?

What rods do you own that are similar?

Ike Delay 6'4" Jerkbait Rod
I'm thinking about picking one of these up as my next addition to the arsenal. Obviously I want to use it for jerkbaits, but it seem like it would be perfect for smaller spook-type baits and poppers as well. I would also want to use it for cranking squarebills through/near structure. I know people generally prefer longer rods for crankbaits, but I think this rod would probably be better suited to it than the two rods I already own. I fish a lot from a kayak so the smaller overall length and grip are probably even more of a benefit in that context. Any thoughts, commentaries, alternative suggestions? Thanks.

Help Me Pick My Next Rod
Okay, so I've altered course slightly. I'm still looking for a rod to cover the aforementioned ground (water), but a casting rod instead of spinning. I've been checking out the Ike delay series rod by AG. It's a 6'4" med/mod specifically designed for throwing jerkbaits. I imagine it would also be great for spook-type lures. Does anyone have experience with this rod? I know people generally prefer longer rods for throwing crankbaits but I figure it can handle those better than my current rods. I notice it has a shorter handle, which might be handy when fishing from the kayak (which I do a lot). Any thoughts?

Also my budget is ~$150 for the rod.

Help Me Pick My Next Rod
I have my next rod purchase narrowed down, but need help picking a model/brand. I want to add a 6'6" Med/Mod-F Spinning rod to the arsenal for throwing all kinds of smaller treble hook style baits. The shorter length is specifically for walking-the-dog and working jerkbaits. This is also to help with accuracy when throwing squarebill cranks at timber. I plan to use this rod with spooks, poppers, crankbaits and jerkbaits, all on the smaller end of the spectrum. Any suggestions?
