Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
I would but I don't plan on being here for the rest of my life. Okie born and raised -I've done my time here and soon I'll be on to the next phase of the journey, god willing.

Looks neat, haven't fished it yet.

I give. They’ve beaten me.
With all the flooding here in OK, and record rainfall for months, I had a bad spawn/post spawn and got a little burnt out. My solution was to go catfishing with live bait. It never hurts to branch out and see what other kind of fish might be biting!

Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
Here in OK they issue paper licenses, so I just keep a photo of it saved on my phone. Unless I forget my phone I'm good to go. Another cool thing about OK is that if you are caught fishing without a license, they will just sell you a month-long permit (at a premium of course) instead of actually issuing a citation. I've never had that problem, because I always buy my combined hunting/fishing license, but I've seen them 'selling' these permits.

Ashamed to say...
Glide baits (haven't tried that hard). I haven never fished deep diving cranks yet. Wake baits, admittedly I've never fished flukes or soft jerkbaits (these are the same thing right?). I've never caught a fish on blade baits or giant swimbaits either.

What sized wacky hooks?
I like owner mosquito lites in size 1 for wacky rigging and drop shotting (nose hook). I like a tiny hook because the wacky rig will turn hook-eye down with heavier hooks on the drop, but with those little mosquito lites they gently shimmy the whole way down, hook-eye up. For me the wacky rig is all about the shimmy.

I just splurged on a few megabass dark sleepers and some small swimbaits for dropshotting. Not cheap but they make awesome stuff!

Favorite Jerkbaits?
I like 6th sense jerkbaits, I had a Strike Pro Inquisitor SP that I loved (until I lent it to a friend on a river trip and he cast it straight into a pine tree). The more it flicks out to the side and does loopty loops, the more I like it.

Ned Rig
I use the mushroom heads, 1/10th is my favorite. Lifted jigs is making an EWG ned jig that I just picked up. Yet to fish it but it seems like a good idea.

Kayak under $300
Agreed, I have been enjoying my cheapo Pelican for the past few years. $300 is a tight budget, but between deals and used the OP should be able to get something that will get them floating. I got my first fishing kayak for $250, and still use it today. Here is a link to a video I made about the kayak and the mods I have done to it:

First Frog Bass
Congrats! Frog fishing is addictive and probably the single most fun way to catch a largemouth bass (IMO).

Med/Mod Spinning Rod for Girlfriend
Thank you sir, I will go take a look now.

Med/Mod Spinning Rod for Girlfriend
Not to contradict you for the sake of it, but I already own a medium spin rod with a fast action and I do not enjoy throwing treble baits on it. I fish drop shot, ned and weightless only on it because of it's sensitivity. Perhaps it is specific to manufacturer, but I definitely want to try something marked moderate.

Med/Mod Spinning Rod for Girlfriend
It looks like the Lews has a TP-1 rod that is pretty close to what I'm looking for: Thanks but she is a chuck-n-wind kind of girl, so I'm looking for something with more of a parabolic bend.

Med/Mod Spinning Rod for Girlfriend
Thanks for your input, I'm mostly concerned with finding a decent and affordable small crankbait spinning rod for her. The color isn't all that important. I will take a look at those recommendations. My problem so far is finding a rod more suited to cranking and less towards finesse fishing.

Med/Mod Spinning Rod for Girlfriend
I'm looking for a spinning rod in a medium action/ moderate tip to get for my lady. This will be for throwing small-ish reaction baits of about 6-11 grams. Namely, squarebills and lipless crankbaits, small swimbaits and underspins with exposed hooks, little spinnerbaits and the occasional popper. Something in about 6'10" preferably, and "budget friendly", a la Dobyns Colt. Extra points for bright colors. She likes bright colors. The reel will be spooled with braid (10-12#) and a fluoro leader for everything but topwater. Thanks in advance for your help.

6'7" Med/Xfast, how would you use it?
Ok, word. This kind of bums me out because there was a st. croix mojo on 50% discount for the same price, with the same specs. I probably should have gone with that one...

6'7" Med/Xfast, how would you use it?
I can give you a hint, I'm not allowed to mention this brand on this forum. Could you elaborate a bit on which line you would choose for treble hook baits? Would you go mono?

A 6'7" med/ Xfast rod, what would you use it for?

Ike Delay 6'4" Jerkbait Rod
Thanks for filling me in, I figured it was something legal-ish. I may just have to check out the ike rod still. I'm still in the process of figuring out what I like in a jerkbait rod. I fish form a kayak alot, which absorbs some of the power from the jerking motion, as well as from the hookset, which changes the game a bit. Not to mention it makes it impossible to do a straight down twitch, so I have to jerk to the side. In respect to the 6'7" med/x-fast rod I bought, what would be a traditional use for something like that? It's basically a short finesse rod right?
