get a 102 cardinal spinning reel for 40 bucks match it to a berkly med 6'6" shock and 13 for some 6 lb power pro and go have fun!!!OOps the rod will be 50 bucks so you will have enough left to grab a moon pie and RC and git r done

not stepping on any toes here but if u are having line diggin using 40 lb braid u need to drop ur drag some or someones rods gonna get broke...remember lighter drag with braids!!!!

i think the weather forecasters get kick backs somehow someway some one makes a lotta money off this stuff ...gas stations in a small town near here had no gas 3 of them had signs up

BASSclary im talkin yrs of collecting reels and rods most of my reels aint made anymore or they are more now then when i bought them new ..just a simple poll i got a hurricane coming and i packed my reels in my van no room for 30 + rods/combos

this would depend if u had a snapper .I have kept baby snappers and they are ferocious predators .They will eat anything dead or alive dont matter to them at all >size dont matter either

You only have 5 mins ....what do you take reels or rods all you got is a 1 car,truck or van .your kids and wife and photo alblums are ready to roll to saftey ..by far i save my reels take off rods and gooooooooooooooo

lets see it would be my 6 ft falcon/pistol grip with a 4600c4 my most used and reliable

mid 80,s when i was young and had energy there was about 6 ponds i fished within 3 miles of each other. Me and my buddy rode bikes too each one from 6 am till about 7. Fished all day and i stopped counting at 150 biggest was about 4 lbs for me and my buddy caught the same and landed one bigger then mine .Last time i had one day catching a lot was a few yrs ago 45 and then a storm .. i miss those days no worries ,easy to get permission to fish etc etc..

yup this is true i have seen smaller snakes swim across my pond several on occasions and get hammered by a bass then a few minutes later same snake pop up somewhere else and keep on gettin it

its early morn or late eve/night here in Maryland who else feels it??
