  1. That garcia is a nice one smooth and a nice line lay for small lines i have a few of um they handle 4 lb XT really well .
  2. Im a trilene fan trimaxx is great i used some 6 lb stuff tryin to catch a few crappie water was cold but it handled great no luck though it was like 39 deg and droppping spur of the moment im not to much on there other lines but when it comes to mono TRILENE is the best out there very consistant. I use 10,12, 15,20 lb big game for all of my BIG baits in salt and fresh water and use XT 4 lb and 2 for my ultra lights and sensation 6 and 8 for reg spinning applications. The month i have been messing with POWER PRO not fishing it yet to cold but so far fiddling with knots and outside casting made me a BELIEVER i love this stuff! BTW if anyone is a fan of big game if u see any solar collector in 10 or 12 lb BUY it up its hard to find and i see they dont make it anymore or maybe i missed the specs on it on the bass pro site and cabelas site i could be wrong??
  3. Allstar is owned by shakespeare now and from what i can remeber it USED to be the only choice back for mid price and low price rods of course Gloomis was also around in the mid 80,s 90s .I saw them in bassproshops catalogs and cabelas they were the go to rod back in the day many endorsements >I have nothing against shakespeare i have many coastal ugly stiks i swear by but i think most all stars are made in china now...
  4. Lighting .........make sure u have plenty of light i use a table and put a white sheet on it i worked on reels for about 3 yrs in a tackle shop that was my main concern was light take it apart as u do use the right tool for the job kind of make it explode in front of ya set it up and put each piece in order as it comes out put ur right side plate on ur right side left on left put ur first peice u take off far right and so on work back to the last thing its easier to do then type it out as for lube thats a hard one i use remoil for light duty and i myself dont like using a grease thats really very thick and i only GREASE my main gears the remoil i use on everything else the grease part is tricky to much and it will get gooey to little and u defeat ur purpose for using it i havent used it yet but thet hot sauce grease seems good or use grease from any manufacturer of the reel u have i hope i helped
  5. I have a few 6 foot pistol grips love um for short range with jigs and spinner baits i have 5-6 ones also BTW anyone have any pistol grips laying around ?? for sale??
  6. I cast with my right arm and reel with my right BUT i can say this i been using BC reels for 20 yrs and i still get a few back lashes it happens then agian i can get most out within 5 seconds also they all seem to b the same kind of backlash LOL if that makes sense during this time i have learned to cast anyway thought possible with a BC laying down even ,up trees , backwards, with a broke arm with a broke finger... like REELMECH says practice pratice pratice

Yup arrius rules if u ask me neve rhad no probs yet with um but these G loomis guys talk about great service haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa what a laugh u send them 50 dollars and they send u a new one too funny that aint service take that 50 and go buy a shimano convergance then u dont have to send 50 to anyone just go to ur local shimano dealer Airrius does have the best service and some of the best rods for your money the best deals out there in rods are shimanos and arrius more features more serivce = more time fishing
  8. You can groove the recoils with a file but you cant groove the best sic guides with a file! There was a test done by a few diff people and actully the SS guides and ti guides both grooved before even the worst ceramic guides aluminum oxcide guides are harder ..
