  1. Which is better? Power Pro or suffix 832 superline for frogging and flipping.
  2. you can't go wrong with a curado or a tatula.
  3. In my experience bass are not line shy. I fish up in minnesota and you can see 12 or so feet to the bottom. A smallie was sitting in 4 foot of water right under my boat, and tossed a senko on red braid and he hit it even though I was right there.
  4. What sizes from tip down do you find the most effective on casting rods?
  5. Up in northern minnesota I have caught most smallies in less than 12 foot of water on and around rock humps. If you see any rocks larger than the one around it there is a good chance a fish is sitting right up by it.
  6. Green pumpkin senko, hollow body frog, spinnerbait or jerkbait.
  7. Which ones would you recommend for casting rods?
  8. What Fuji micro guides would you recommend. Are the American tackle company guides a good guide to get as well?
  9. Green pumpkin senko texas rigged. In the morning a hula popper or booyah pad crasher.
  10. Be confident with baits and build from there.
  11. I would use a weightless senko on a 4/0 or 3/0 ewg worm hook. A fluke twitched over the top would also work well.
  12. What are some good micro guides for braid. Is the crb cork rear grip good, and what are your go to cork split grip parts.
  13. I need some opinions a frog rod blanks. I fish the Midwest and northern Minnesota. The cover is pads weeds and algea. The blanks I have been looking at are the mhx mb874 7'3" 12-20lb 5/16-1oz heavy fast. And the mhx fs905 7'6" 1/4-1 1/2oz 10-25lb mod/fast heavy. Wich of these would you pick and is there a blank that would work better? I have also looked at some st croix scII and scIII and found some rated 10-20lb and 12-25lb that were fast heavy or medium heavy fast.
  14. I know a fast action is very common for froggin but I have heard that a medium fast works better for hooksets and pulling power. Which do you think I should get?
  15. After reading what you said about tip actions and powers I found a mhx flipping and pitching blank. It is the FS905 7'6" mod/fast heavy power 10-25lb and is rated 1/4-1 1/2oz. What do you think about this blank compared to the others I am looking at. I would cut 3 or 4 inches off the butt if I get it.
  16. How do you guys locate bass in July and august months in northern Minnesota. What are some of the baits that consistently catch you fish? Thanks for the help.
  17. Does anyone know were to get this fighting butt or what componets are need for it?
  18. Which would you guys personally prefer? Going off what Brad said I will be fishing frogs over pads that I will be casting long to moderate casts. I will also find myself in parts along the bank were I will only be casting 10 to 15 feet. I sure will thanks for the help.
  19. I am going to be building the rod for froging.
  20. How do you know where to put the reel seat on a split grip.
  21. Would you consider a rainshadow blank over MHX, and if so which ones? I am also worried that the 874 wouldn't have enough power to get 5+ pounders out of the pads and weeds. Do you think this is a problem?
  22. I got a rod building kit for christmas and I am going to build a frog rod, and was wondering what blanks you would recommend for fishing fairly thick pads. The two blanks I have been looking at are both MHX: MB874 mag taper 7'3'' 12-20lb 5/16-1oz and the MB875 7'3'' 15-30lb 1/2-1 1/4oz. Which one would you prefer? Thanks so much for your advice.
