Is it practical to me no. I don't think anyone can convince me enough that its that much better bait than lets say a senko or a square bill. If I just only fished swimbaits and was a guy that threw nothing but then I would make it happen to own one but there is so many cheap baits that work and catch pigs. Cheap being below $30. We all chasing world records when it comes down to it to. We are always hunting for the biggest.

If its hand made and you are paying for the craftsmanship of the lure maker I can understand the high price. Would I buy and fish one no I personally wouldnt.

Last year I had good success rigged both ways on the Shenandoah. Even got a buddy fishing them.

Be confident in your self. Keep a positive attitude. Dont be afraid to thibk outside the box.

Thanks for the input fellas. Yeah water temps in VA are still cold below 50° possibly right at it some days but seems they are in prespawn. Fish I have been catching have had some full bellies. They have been on moving baits pretty good. Square bills produced majority of my fish this year. Weather just has been up and down this year here. Colder than normal.

Just curious on opinions. Prespawn based on the photoperiod or based on water temps?

Saw a ton of great spots we just didnt fish them heavy though. Just floated with the current since we werent 100% what time we were going to get out. More of a spur of the moment type of float trip. I was fishing a transparent husky jerk since it was going down stream close to the rate I was floating. Possibly been fishing a little fast for the time of year. Usually hooking up isnt a struggle as it felt. Should fish it when you get a chance. Generally fishing is really good in the Shenandoah

New to the forumn. Seeing who all fishes the Shenandoah. Been fishing the low water bridge area havent had a ton of action. Caught one the other day on a jerk bait. Whats been working for yall and hows the fishing been for you guys?
