  1. i know, i just really want the MGL spool but it’s fine if i get it i guess i won’t fish inshore i just want a good reel mainly for fresh and maybe, MAYBE salt 2-3 times a year
  2. Has anyone used their Chronarch MGL in salt or know anyone that has? Any info would be great for determining my purchase. Thanks!
  3. i can’t stand the word “plastic” lol calling the Chronarch plastic is stupid. The frame is NOT plastic. The only thing that is so called “plastic” is the outside.
  4. i know this topic is talked about a lot but if i order from Japan Lure Shop, you can get the MET for $100 off US price, and the Chronarch $50 off US price. So my question here is, what is truly the best. i want a reel for all around. i mainly throw soft plastics, chatterbaits and a little bit of frog. Never throw HUGE baits such as swimbaits and etc. i am more than likely to throw either reel on a Dobyns, Favorite, or Fitzgerald rod.
  5. Heck yea i 100% agree with you. Around that range, you literally CANNOT go wrong with Penn or Shimano! Stradic, Battle, of Spinfisher, you are going to love them, but i was referring to a baitcaster and I’m thinking of a Shimano Chronarch or a Metanium. I can order from Japan Lure Shop and get the Met for $100 off US price and get the Chronarch for $50 off US price. So I’m not sure.
  6. i heard the Chronarch is just as good maybe better for a cheaper price
  7. i am thinking of getting a Shimano Scorpion DC. But i am open to something else, and just want to see what’s y’all think is the best for $300 and under.
  8. Ok, next check, I’m cashing in on a Shimano Scorpion DC. Upgrading from a current black max, huge upgrade right? LOL. So what I’m wondering is what’s the best rod for $100. Mostly used plastics. But will occasionally throw top water, and maybe a squarebill. Prefer an all around type rod. Suggestions??
  9. Is the Curado K worth the hype? Is it actually that good? i am now thinking of getting one over a Daiwa.
  10. Does anyone have this reel and recommend it?
  11. i have $200 to spend on a baitcaster. i want to know what you would suggest. i mainly throw weightless plastics. Suggestions?
  12. i only feel the centrifugal brakes do something. The magnetic brakes nothing at all.
  13. i have a tournament mb by lews. Is it just me or can you tell the magnetic brakinh system really does anything?
  14. i have heard lews and Abu are made in the same factory. Taking this into consideration do you feel that essentially they are the same but just look different? Personally, i don’t think so. But i would like to hear what you have to say.
  15. i know if i have been asking a lot of questions but this is the best way to get answers! i am thinking a 7.3.1 ration vs a 6.3.1
  16. i like it it’s just a little above my price range!
  17. I handled some lews reels today and really like the feel of them. See, i freshwater and saltwater fish and i cannot find if lews is salt water safe. This is making me lean towards Daiwa because know their reels are built for salt and fresh (and by the way, when i go saltwater fishing, afterwards i always wash off all my reels.)
  18. The more that i do research on baitcasters the more i want my next one to be a Lew’s. i want someone who has or has had problems with them to tell me how they liked or disliked theirs. i see a lot of people with lew’s rods and was wondering if their reels are just as good. i am deciding between a Lew’s or a Diawa.
  19. i have tried but no real luck, and are diawas really that good? i would think lew’s or Shimano would be big here! i am new.
  20. They get to where i can’t tune them anymore, and have a problem with the line keeper mechanism staying to one side. i am surprised at all the diawa responses. Are they really that good?
  21. Ok so i am looking to buy a new baitcaster, i have always bought Abu Garcia’s and now i am wanting a higher end model and want to get away from Abu Garcia because my last two reels i have bought stopped working and i kept them oiled. So my question here is what should i buy? i am deciding between a Shimano Curado K, a Lew’s BB1 (or some other lew’s), or a Diawa Tatula. Does anyone have any of these or possibly a couple of both? i am kinda on the Shimano or Lew’s side but I’m not sure.
