  1. I agree with Ilfish there is nothing better than fresh caught fish. I like to fillet mine and leave them overnite in water in the fridge then invite some friends and have a good ol fish fry. Definatley worth the effort!!!!
  2. Thanks for all the responses, and the offers for tackle. But i wouldn't feel right taking tackle from others who work hard for theirs just as I did. I have about 10 packs of plastics that I had double packs an such. But the $300 or so of cranks i lost really hurt. I'll be fishing just not as confidently as I used to with such a limeted supply. But I will rebuild slowly but surely, and definatley will be removing all my tackle every nite because the locks did not stop them. I'd just like to see the lil punks that have the balls to do this in a well lit are with people all around. thanks again all of you!!!!
  3. LOL thanks i needed a laugh
  4. Well heres my last catch i will have for awhile. It was a fun few days campin with the family.
  5. Yea i find out wedensday if my insurance covers it, but the agent said he doubted i'd get anything cuz they didn't offer me the coverage for fishing gear...dang insurance never seems to cover what ya need. as for a list of what i lost, I appreciate the offer but can't afford to replace it as of yet. Got one more month to go before the doc releases me for work i hope.
  6. I had the pleasure of losing over $1,000 worth of tackle last nite when my boat got ransacked. Guess i was the 3rd boat hit this past week. d**n crooks make me sick, so i guess i'm done fishing for awhile til i can rebuild my supply. Just when the fishing was gettin good too. I guess i learned my lesson, no matter how much hassle it is I will be cleaning out my boat every night now. even locks on the lids don't stop people, that takes a lot of balls to do that crap 10 ft from my garage, considering i live on a fairly busy street with neighbors all around. Just had to vent a bit.
  7. I have best luck with a white or a black/white swirl.
  8. I like the red shad and my favorite is moccosin color.
  9. Yea this is getting a lil insane, gonna have to get another job just to pay for gas nowdays. Might just start fishin the electric only lake in town atleast it don't cost $40 bux a day to charge my batteries. >

  15. Great news about going back to school. I have had a few friends drop out and my nephew as well. They have been nagged to death as well. But when I talk to them they honestly wish they would have finished, but just didn't want to give in to all the pressure. Pressure is a part of life, and sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and do whats right. I don't think you will be sorry in any way, shape, or form from going back to school. I hope you figure out what you want to do in life and it comes true for you. I wish you all the luck and am proud to see your going back.

I really like that color combo, I have a couple spinnerbaits I'd love to have that color. Let me know if you have any for sale.
  21. I love the wlmart specials lol. Only problem i have with them is the paint wears off a lil quick, but i have caught a TON of fish on them. I also do a lil changing of blades and such to them but for a buck they are hard to beat IMO.
  22. Wow!! Now that is one heck of a guy, its hard enough to find people in this day and age to help a fellow fisherman out with instructions let alone what he did. KUDOS!!!!
  23. I went to the local HOBBY LOBBY today and they had a very good assortment. I got some 3" by 3" about a foot long for $3.50. Its about the same price and you don't have to wait for shipping. Just a thought but you might check out your local hobby shop. Good Luck

Ok I have a question about the balsa wood. Will the screw in eyelets hold up? I know they work fine in the pine wood I've made baits out of, but the balsa seems so weak. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks
