  2. Thanks for the comments. I ordered the Okuma and can’t wait to use it. It’s nice to hear from fellow anglers who have the actual rod. Thank you friends!
  3. Cool. What line do u use?
  4. Will buy one for frogs/jigs/heavier stuff my spinning rod can’t handle. Probably around 7’3 Heavy.
  5. I actually think my current spinning rod can handle most lightweight crankbaits. It’s just ChatterBaits and jigs with trailers feel heavy on that rod. That’s why I’m wanting my casting rod to be able to handle jigs and frogs.
  6. ...jigs, frogs, ChatterBaits, Crankbaits and such. I have a spinning rod I use for soft plastics and lighter stuff. I have a casting reel and want to get a rod for these heavier applications. I am primarily bank fishing for bass. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the suggestions. I’m thinking about going with the Duckett Ghost.
  8. So Im just getting back into fishing after 25+ years off. I bought a cheap spinning combo and figured I will use that for light applications. I recently found my old Citica 200d and it seems to still be in great condition. Looking for suggestions on a rod for it. Something I could use for jigs and crankbaits and frogs. Could I do all of these with maybe a 7' Medium Heavy/Fast?? Don't want to spend more than $100. Preferably less.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions and info. Good stuff.
  10. Any other specific rod suggestions for this reel??
  11. Hey there. I fished a lot as a boy and didn’t fish for many years until recently. Now I’m obsessed. I fish exclusively on lakes and ponds for bass - bank fishing. I like to do some finesse, but also like spinner/Chatterbaits and would like to use top water frogs too. A little bit of everything. I have pretty much decided on a Daiwa BG 2500. Looking for a decent spinning rod for it. I was thinking 7’ Medium/Heavy? Budget would be $50 - $75 range. Any suggestion/*** would be greatly appreciated!
